Patrick's trip to Calais gave a shocking insight into the troubles Britain faces

Watch as Patrick Christys is left staggered by the discovery of an instruction manual plastered to the side of a water container in Calais.

The sheets of paper offer migrants seeking to cross the Channel vital information on how they can be best prepared for the perilous journey that has claimed the lives of many.

Some of the guide is written in English, but it is mostly in Arabic, which Patrick said was likely to be the predominant language among the small boat crossers.

The guides have been put together by charity workers who Patrick confronted during his eye-opening trip to Calais.

“Have a look at this”, he said.

“So they’ve handily done some of it in English and we’ve got Arabic writing all over it.

“Now, look at this. ‘Crossing to the UK in a truck can be very dangerous. This information can save your life’.

“‘How to send your GPS location when you call for help’. They’ve even got advice on avoiding a refrigerated truck.

Patrick spotted the aid workers heading off in the distance

“It says, ‘getting on or off a moving truck is very dangerous. If you fall badly, get away from the road and you can call the emergency number’.

“There’s also a bit on if your boat starts to get pushed back and what you should do. This is a manual on how to break into Britain, isn’t it? It’s just stuck here on the side of a water container.”

The aid workers are then spotted driving off in the distance by Patrick after they were “caught out”.

He said: “At what point does charity work and having a heart and being really nice and helping human beings turn into helping human traffickers?”

'We need to get out of here!' Patrick Christys PELTED with glass bottles by migrants while confronting smuggling gangs

The GB News star scoured the Calais coast to learn the staggering scale of the crisis facing Britain with camps filled to the brim with migrants seeking to cross the Channel.

He arranged to meet suspected people smugglers who showed no appetite to talk after being confronted about their illegal actions.

Patrick, posing as a Vietnamese migrant, arranged to meet one suspected people smuggler at a specific location in France after an exchange of messages in which he offered assistance with crossing the maritime border.

Patrick revealed the suspected smuggler had spoken to him in English over the phone, only to then make out he knew very little when they came face to face.It was just one of many shocking moments during the GB News star’s fleeting trip to the French coast.

Patrick was met with a wall of silence

Patrick returned to a migrant camp he had previously visited hoping to speak to those preparing to cross the Channel.

The GB News star was met with sheer hostility this time around, a contrast to his May trip where he found a group of migrants willing to speak.

Tensions were rife on this occasion and Patrick described the scene as a “very different vibe this time, they want you gone”.

He repeatedly asked how they planned to reach Britain but was met with a wall of silence.

Some migrants, visibly agitated, whipped out their phones to film Patrick.

Despite his insistence that “we just want a conversation”, nothing was forthcoming and Patrick soon scurried off as tensions ramped up.
