GB News presenter Martin Daubney broke down in tears as he paid emotional tribute to Sophie Fairall, a 10 year old who died of an aggressive form of childhood cancer.

Joined by Sophie’s mum, Charlotte Fairall, and Gosport MP Dame Caroline Dineage, Daubney shared his thoughts on Sophie’s case and his personal connection to childhood cancer.

Speaking on Britain’s Newsroom, he said: “I'm sure everybody out there you know will be like me now, you think about your own kids, and my neighbour’s son has got cancer. He's dying.”

“It's amazing that something positive is coming of this. And it's so good to see a member of Parliament listening to a constituent and doing really positive things in a way that can leave a legacy not just for Sophie, but for all of the children affected.”

Co-host Ellie Costello comforted Daubney, saying: “So it's a very close issue to you, Martin. that's a really good point actually, a constituent MP doing things for their constituents. It's actually really lovely thing to do on such an important issue.”
