Just Stop Oil activist Greta Thunberg arrived in court today tried for a public order offence after a protest in central London last year

GB News host Emily Carver blasted Just Stop Oil protestors for breaking the law.

Just Stop Oil activist Frances Davies appeared on Good Afternoon Britain to discuss Greta Thunberg's trial for a public order offence after a protest in central London last year.

Speaking to GB News she said: "We're dedicated to nonviolence both as a tactic and as a principle. So though we might be breaking the law it will never be an act of violence."

Carver asked: "in a democracy and a society, people have a multiple of different views and a multiple of different priorities. If everyone went around throwing paint at the Mona Lisa, graffitiing buildings, blockading roads, climbing up bridges for the sake of their big priority, their policy agenda, we'd live in anarchy, wouldn't we?"

Davies responded by saying: "Possibly. Or perhaps, if the government just did their bare minimum duty to protect the people in this country, then we wouldn't have a reason to have to go and climb up bridges and do all of these things."
