GB News’ South-West of England reporter, Jeff Moody, found himself in a spot of bother as he reported live from Woolacombe Beach in Devon.
Speaking to hosts Mark Longhurst and Pip Tomson, Jeff struggled to keep his ice cream from causing a mess, as the 99 flake soft serve began to drip down his hand.
Jeff said: “Sorry, I'm trying to adjust my earpiece, hold my microphone, deal with an ice cream - I can't cope with all this!”
Mark and Pip descended into fits of laughter, as Mark admitted: “I haven't been listening to a word you've been saying, 'cause I've been trying to measure the angle of your flakes as they've been sort of heading towards 180 degrees. But as long as you don't start licking the microphone by mistake, we don't mind.”
Jeff continued his report on the impact of the hot September weather on businesses, as his ice cream increasingly covered his hand.
Moody said: “I need someone to come and hold my ice cream for me, don't I? This is what it does to an ice cream if you keep it out in the heat at the moment.
“I haven't got any wet wipes at all. It's all going down my hand. There's a dog just arrived. He's now licking off the sand!”
