GB News celebrated its expansion into the United States of America by holding an exclusive launch party in Washington DC last night.
The event, at the iconic Ned's Club, was attended by more than 500 VIPs from across US politics, American business and the global media.
The evening was hosted by GB News presenter Bev Turner, who will anchor the channel's new show The Late Show Live when it launches later this month.
In a patriotic celebration of Britishness, Bev welcomed a number of speakers from GB News who vowed to ensure the channel would bring its bold and fearless style of journalism - which has made it Britain’s number one news channel - to America.
Among those addressing guests was GB News presenter Nigel Farage, just hours after giving evidence to the US Congress, as well as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick.
Ms Leavitt said: "A huge shout-out to Nigel Farage and the GB News team, some of whom met with the President in the White House earlier.

“You share the values this administration holds dear: Free speech, that men cannot be women, secure borders - we don’t want illegal aliens invading our countries, we want to protect the integrity, democracy and culture that make our countries two of the greatest countries in the history of the world.
“I really look forward to continuing to work with the team at GB News.”
Mr Farage said: “To have a media channel like GB News prepared to take on the wokery, the left wing-ism, the negativity, the managed decline, to have a news channel that believes that can make Britain great again is so important.
"You might have heard that phrase before, but we must believe that we can make Britain great again, and that's the mission that I've been on. That's the mission that we've been on."

GB News backer Sir Paul Marshall told the gathered VIPs: “There are more than 500 of you here, including 11 members of the US Cabinet. That, for us, is extraordinarily flattering - but it’s also a sign of how important tonight is in terms of what’s going on between our two countries.
“Four years ago when we launched, every TV channel was progressive and the BBC was a state behemoth distorting the entire landscape. That was a huge challenge but it was also a huge opportunity for us because 65 per cent of the population was completely uncovered by the news channels. That’s why they’ve responded to us and now, four years on, GB News is the number one TV news channel.
“The United States has an incredibly important role to play in the future of Britain. You provide us with hope and inspiration. We want to shine a light on what’s happening here. President Trump is a controversial figure, particularly in Europe.
“There are many naysayers. But there are many others who want to hear and understand what you’re doing in this country.”

GB News chairman Alan McCormick said: 'We’re much more than a media company. We’re a community of people that deeply love the United Kingdom'

Alan McCormick, GB News’ chairman, said: “We’re much more than a media company. We’re a community of people that deeply love the United Kingdom. We love its freedoms, we love its history, we love its culture, we love its values and we share a very deep concern about its future.
“Britain has been infected by a mind virus that sees no value in place, in family, in community, in love of country and these views have be reinforced by an establishment media who have suppressed any alternative viewpoints.
“GB News was launched to end this neglect. To provide truthful and fearless journalism for the people of the United Kingdom.”
Angelos Frangopoulos, CEO of GB News, added: "Our channel is a community and we look forward to welcoming you to that community in the coming months and years as Bev Turner and Ben Leo launch this new show."
It comes just days after official data revealed how GB News had extended its lead as Britain’s number one news channel - beating the BBC News Channel and Sky News for the second month in a row.
Official BARB ratings for August reveal the People’s Channel massively increased its gap over BBC News, while Sky News is now a distant third.
The results, drawn from the industry’s official BARB ratings for August 2025, track total share and average views.
'The people of Britain have spoken, and the message is clear: the bold and fearless journalism of GB News has connected with communities everywhere,' CEO Angelos Frangopoulos said

Mr Frangopoulos said the channel’s August performance was yet another clear sign that the media company has filled a void.
He said: "The people of Britain have spoken, and the message is clear: the bold and fearless journalism of GB News has connected with communities everywhere. The figures prove that the gutless politically-motivated campaigns against GB News have failed."
Now, the People’s Channel will aim to build on this success by broadcasting its very first edition of The Late Show Live.
From a studio close to the White House, the new programme will start broadcasting later this month and will bring British audiences closer than ever to the political news which unfolds each day in America.
It will feature headline-making exclusives, thought-provoking interviews with major figures, and in-depth analysis of the Donald Trump presidency as well as stories from across the US.
It will add 14 hours of fresh live coverage to GB News every week, and underscores the channel's growing commitment to live news at a time many rivals are planning on scaling back their coverage to mass reach audiences.
The Late Show Live will be presented by Bev Turner on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with Ben Leo taking over on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Bev said: “With the gutsiest guests and the most iconic backdrops, I intend to keep viewers up late.
"Fronting the next stage of GB News's evolution is both a huge honour and an immense responsibility, and I cannot wait to represent the People's Channel on a global stage.
“After three years at GB News, I hope the viewers trust me to show them what life is really like in the epicentre of 'MAGA-land' as history unfolds before our eyes.
“We will be disrupting the late-night TV space as the next day's papers land in the UK and America's prime-time analysis gears up. This affords us the chance to deliver a unique UK-USA hybrid of political, cultural and social issues from the start-line of global politics.
“We will fulfil the need for a British voice with an international perspective to help our viewers get a sense of who’s really on their side.
“Tapping into Washington’s heartbeat and delivering real-time perspective with editorial edge, the show will be alive, and a conversation that’s punchy, intelligent and unmissable. What happens in DC, reverberates in GB and we will capture every moment.
“Our highly engaged British audience understands how events in the US are directly impacting government policy and living standards here. We have a job to do: bridging the gap between British and American politics in the fearless style that typifies GB News.
“We will include the very best guests that Washington has to offer, alongside quintessentially British voices in an unparalleled assessment of events on both sides of the Atlantic. This isn’t just a media experiment. This is a market intervention. And I look forward to leading it from the front.”

"I’m so excited to be fulfilling that now with GB News - especially under one of the most explosive and revolutionary administrations in US history.
“I’m excited to be at the heart of it as things unfold and analyse how it immediately affects what happens back home.”
Michael Booker, Editorial Director of GB News, described the move as a “new chapter” for the channel.
He said: “This is a huge moment for GB News as we grow our presence and deliver more of the fearless journalism that defines us. The world’s biggest political story is playing out in Washington, and its impact is being felt daily in towns and cities across Britain. More than ever before, what happens in the USA is having huge consequences, both socially and economically, for the people of Britain.
“We’ve seen time and again this year that a decision made on one day in Washington DC is felt the next day in Washington, Tyne and Wear. It’s essential The People’s Channel is right there, reporting live, asking the tough questions, and telling it like it is.
“While others scale back on live free coverage, GB News is investing in our content. Our new Washington investment, our expanded programming, and our brilliant on-the-ground team will ensure we’re not just reporting on the story but that we’re right at the heart of it.”
The countdown to the new show comes as popularity for GB News soars across the Atlantic. In January, Similarweb’s prestigious Digital 100 rankings named GBNews.com the fastest-growing news website in America, with a staggering 420 per cent growth in its US audience over the past year.
GBNews.com now attracts nearly 2.6 million monthly US users, up from just over half a million in 2023, an astonishing rise that has outpaced digital giants including Fox News and The New York Times. Since launching in 2022, the site has welcomed over 55 million US visitors.
Last month, GB News also embarked on an exciting new venture in the US after launching onto Truth+, the rapidly growing global streaming platform.
