David Cameron meets Volodymyr Zelensky in first official visit as Foreign Secretary

Foreign Secretary David Cameron has met Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his first official visit since being appointed by Rishi Sunak on Monday.

Cameron shook hands with Zelensky as he visited Kyiv in his first trip in the role.

A video of the meeting was shared by the Ukrainian President on social media, Zelensky saying he is "grateful" for the UK's support.

Zelensky added: "Hosted David Cameron on his first visit to Ukraine as Foreign Secretary of the UK.

"We had a good meeting focused on weapons for the frontline, strengthening air defense, and protecting our people and critical infrastructure.

"I am grateful to the UK for its support!"
