NS&I announced two new Premium Bonds jackpot winners in the May 2024 prize draw this
NS&I has highlighted how Premium Bonds winners can get their prizes "faster and more securely" as millions of prizes remain unclaimed.
There are currently 2,399,977 unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes, worth a total of £83,367,525.
While NS&I does notify winners of the news if they have registered their contact details, there are instances where customers relocate or forget to update their contact details with NS&I.
This can lead to unclaimed prizes, particularly for people who opt to get their prizes via cheque rather than bank transfer.
NS&I said that to get prizes "faster and more securely", customers can opt for automatic bank deposits or reinvestment into more Premium Bonds.
This is how 90 per cent of prizes are paid to winners.

This month, the two jackpot winners were from Hampshire and Outer London.
NS&I shared some details about unclaimed prizes in the two areas, warning there are 63,780 prizes worth £2,104,350 that are yet to be claimed in Hampshire.
