If your hair is on the thinner side, diet, hair care, and lifestyle changes may be required for long-term improvements.
However, in the short term, a set of hair extensions can provide a quick fix.
Extensions are to the hair what makeup is to the face. While a set of strands won't tackle the root causes of thinness, they can elevate your look in a matter of minutes.
According to hairstylist and salon owner Dawna Jarvis, hair extensions can be transformative if your barnet requires a boost.
Speaking exclusively to GB News about thinning tresses, Dawna described extensions as a "huge" saviour.
"There are so many different kinds. You can have sow-ins, you can have tape-ins, you can have a halo extension, which you can just put on and take off," she said.
According to the specialists at Vixen & Blush, hair extensions facilitate "fuller, longer hair" without having to wait months for it to grow.
They stated: "Whether you desire added length, increased volume, or both, hair extensions are the ultimate way to transform your look effortlessly while keeping it natural and seamless."

When applied properly, extensions serve as a speedy strategy to achieve density, volume, and bounce.
But it's important to note that poorly fitted ones can leave your hair looking thinner than ever, so practising good hair care is crucial.
If your hair extensions are the type you put in yourself, ensure you follow the product's instructions carefully.

As for chops that disguise thinning, the blunt bob 'gives the illusion of thicker, fuller hair'
| GETTY IMAGESIf they need to be applied by someone else, always seek a trained hairstylist with experience fitting extensions.
But how do you select the correct type for you? Vixen & Blush's senior stylist advised: "There are two main factors to look at when choosing the right hair extensions for your hair type.
"The first one is making sure you have the correct hair extension type fitted for your hair density, meaning you are going to be having safe hair extensions fitted that won’t cause any damage to your natural hair.
"The second factor to look at is wearability, what you find comfortable for your lifestyle and having a method where you can keep to the wear time."
Another way to give thin strands an instant lift is a new haircut. Like extensions, a chop won't address why your hair is thinning or offer a long-term improvement strategy.
However, according to hairstylist Glam Girl Gabi, the right trim can make a "big difference".
Hailing the blunt bob as a game-changing style, Gabi stated: "The edge gives the illusion of thicker, fuller hair without needing a bunch of volumising products or styling tricks.
"Because all the strands end in a straight line, it naturally creates more weight and density at the bottom, tricking the eye into thinking it's thicker than it is."
Of course, for a permanent solution to thin hair, you will need to do more than invest in extensions or a new trim.
According to a hair specialist, three foods allow you to fight back against thinning. Beyond this, a trichologist or dermatologist should be able to provide tailored guidance.
Offering more advice for hair enthusiasts, Dawna Jarvis named the seemingly harmless salon habit that is leaving your strands "dead and broken".
