For years, women have been told to follow the same anti-ageing routine: slather on retinol, never skip SPF, and moisturise like your life depends on it.
But according to skin care experts, this may be a little reductive.
The truth is, not all faces age the same way. Some women spot fine lines creeping across their foreheads while their jawlines stay firm.
Meanwhile, others watch their skin soften and droop even though their foreheads remain remarkably smooth.

Dermatologists and other skin specialists have concluded that we fall into two distinct camps: those who are "wrinkle-dominant" and those who are "sagging-dominant."
And according to the experts, knowing which one you are could transform your entire approach to looking younger.
The good news? You can work out your type without leaving the bathroom. Skin care specialist Gina Baker suggests standing in front of the mirror with a completely bare face.
"Imagine a line across the middle of your face," she said. If you look older above that line, with forehead creases and crow's feet, you're likely wrinkle-dominant.
But if the ageing shows below the line, with deeper laugh lines and heavier jowls, you're probably sagging-dominant.

Still unsure? London dermatologist Dr Munir Somji recommends trying "the pinch test": simply pinch the skin on your cheeks and watch how quickly it bounces back.
Slow recovery means you've lost elasticity, pointing to the sagging category.
Once you've established which camp you're in, making noticeable improvements all comes down to ingredients.
"While genetics is an important factor, our lifestyle is accountable for 80 per cent of our facial skin ageing," explained Ms Baker.
"So, good skin care plays an important role in maintaining the healthy look of the skin."

For those battling lines and wrinkles (wrinkle-dominant), scientists have discovered an innovative ingredient called Celespep-4, which comes from a newly found bacterial species grown alongside jellyfish through bio-fermentation.
It works by targeting the communication between nerves and muscles, helping to relax expression lines without paralysing the muscle.
For those who prefer plant-based options, bakuchiol delivers similar results to retinoids.
Dr Somji stated: "Retinoids accelerate skin cell turnover and stimulate collagen production to smooth wrinkles and improve the elasticity of the skin."
These ingredients specifically target the fine lines that define wrinkle-dominant ageing.
If sagging is your concern, you'll want different weapons in your skin care arsenal.
"Peptides are amino acid chains that signal the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, helping to restore firmness and elasticity," the dermatologist explained.
He also recommends hyaluronic acid for "plumping the skin and creating a smoother, more lifted appearance".
Finally, the expert suggests looking for ceramides and red macroalgae, which work on both surface and deeper skin layers to "help restore the structure of the extracellular matrix" and firm the skin.
Lastly, evening facial massage with a gua sha or rollers can boost results by improving blood flow and muscle tone.
