She shared five tips for flawless skin
|DR AMBER CHAUDHRY
She said: "Whether you’re 15 or 50, the principle is the same: protect before you try to perfect. That philosophy is what inspired me to create Noori Skincare for younger skin, and it’s the same mindset I apply to my own."
Protect the skin barrier first
The pharmacist and founder of Noori Skincare advised using gentle products and applying them at the beginning of your routine. She said: "Healthy skin starts with a strong barrier. Women should avoid over-exfoliating, harsh actives, and complicated routines. Instead, focus on gentle, nourishing ingredients that support the skin long-term.
"No aggressive scrubbing or over-layering. Understand that skin, especially as it matures, thrives with care, not correction."
Stay consistent, not complacent
A daily skin care routine is key, but you don't need to spend hours in the bathroom cycling through an endless string of products.
HOW TO LOOK YOUNGER
The expert advised: "You don’t need a 10-step routine. A simple regimen, cleanse, moisturise, protect, done consistently over years, matters far more than constantly switching products."
Never skip sun protection
While most people know they should wear sunscreen on hot, sunny days, applying SPF year-round offers the best protection from the sun. It can also slow down the obvious signs of ageing, making this good practice for all ages.
Dr Chaudhry continued: "Daily SPF is non-negotiable. Sun exposure is the leading cause of premature ageing, and women who look younger have treated sunscreen like a lifelong habit."
Use a vitamin A derivative at night (for mature skin only)
Vitamin A products, such as retinols, have become more trendy in recent years. While effective, they are best used on those in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. Applying at night will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Active ingredients target specific skin concerns | GETTY"Many women who age beautifully incorporate a vitamin A derivative, such as retinol, into their nighttime routine over time. When used correctly, it helps support skin renewal and improves the appearance of fine lines and texture.
"The key is a gentle approach: start low, go slow, and always prioritise barrier support to minimise irritation. It’s important to note that these ingredients are suited for mature skin, and are not recommended for teens or younger skin."
Hydrate inside and out
Incorporating hydrating products into your routine will help your skin to look fresh and dewy. Drinking plenty of water will also accelerate these results from the inside out.
Dr Chaudhry said: "Hydration shows. Women should prioritise drinking water and using ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin and skin-replenishing lipids to maintain balance and glow."
