Cultivating an excellent skin care routine is essential for a youthful appearance, but is a multi-faceted approach needed for true anti-ageing results?
According to 59-year-old Christiane Figura, who is often mistaken for considerably younger, a lifestyle revamp may be the key.
Christiane, a certified trainer, health activist, and founder of Natural Intelligent Movement, says her "secret" to youthfulness is regular exercise, healthy eating, sufficient sleep, and a positive attitude.
She told GB News: "I avoid alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes, eat a balanced diet and drink at least two litres of water every day.
"Incorporating regular moderate exercise that supports all body systems is also vital. This type of exercise should not be intense or extreme, otherwise it will over-acidify the body."
Examples of moderate intensity activities include brisk walking, water aerobics, riding a bike, dancing, doubles tennis, pushing a lawn mower, hiking, and rollerblading.
Christiane continued: "Maintaining an active lifestyle that encourages movement, adequate rest and sleep, and positive social connections outside of work is essential.
"These practices are natural parts of a healthy life, and even small positive changes can quickly lead to big health improvements."
The 59-year-old does enjoy the occasional indulgence - "as moderation is key" - but on the whole, she prioritises health.

Speaking to the benefits of exercise, Christiane advised: "Increasing daily activity makes you more energised, flexible, and strong, plus less likely to crave unhealthy foods."
Regular exercise also helps with weight management, enhances sleep quality, and serves as an incredible mood-booster; the benefits are impossible to ignore.
"These changes create a positive feedback loop that is reinforced by multiple internal systems," Christiane said.
"Just start with one small change and gradually introduce more. My philosophy, honed over more than 20 years in fitness, is that ageing does not necessarily mean decline.

"Life can improve past 50 if we make the right adjustments. Embrace the mindset, and starting now, everything will change for the better."
Exercise is widely considered an effective anti-ageing strategy. A 70-year-old who has "never looked better" previously spoke to GB News about the healthy habit that transformed her appearance and keeps her young.
Fitness instructor Liz Hilliard revealed that despite her age, she is in the best shape of her life.
Liz found that traditional exercise was no longer enough to keep her fit when she reached menopause, and this personal struggle inspired her to create her own fitness programme.
The Hilliard Studio Method (HSM) is described as a "core-centric, total-body workout described as Pilates on steroids".
Everyone knows that exercise is great for your waistline and overall health, but its skin-boosting benefits are often overlooked.
Specialists at Healthspan explained: "Regular exercise can help your skin look younger for longer. It helps improve your circulation, pumping more blood and oxygen to your skin cells to keep them healthy and resilient."
A study published in the National Library of Medicine also confirmed that exercise is an effective skin care strategy.
Experts stated: "Regular exercise is associated with increased blood flow to the skin, elevated skin temperature, and improved skin moisture."
