If you're keen to turn back the clock, your first thought may be to invest in new skin care, revamp your makeup bag, or even take a trip to the hairdresser for a flattering new chop.
But have you ever thought about fitness and diet as anti-ageing strategies? According to one 44-year-old, the secret to looking younger is prioritising these lifestyle choices.
Relationship expert Dr Channa Bromley revealed that while she is in her mid-40s, most people think she's in her early 30s.
In conversation with GB News, she revealed the reason why. "The reality? I'm not just looking younger, I’m in better shape than women 20 years younger than me," Dr Bromley said.
The anti-ageing enthusiast continued: "My secret lies in a combination of consistent effort, solid habits, and focusing on what truly works for my body and mind.
"Muay Thai [also known as Thai boxing] is part of my daily routine. It's not just about staying fit, it's about challenging myself physically and mentally every day.
"I sweat it out because I believe strength is more than just appearance; it’s about discipline, focus, and growth."
Everybody knows that exercise is great for your health and waistline, but many overlook its anti-ageing benefits.

Working out is great for your complexion, too. The skin care gurus at Healthspan stated: "Regular exercise can help your skin look younger for longer.
"It helps improve your circulation, pumping more blood and oxygen to your skin cells to keep them healthy and resilient."
The experts pointed to a study published in Aging Cell, which found that "moderate to vigorous exercise resulted in visibly younger-looking skin".

A second woman spoke to GB News about the age-defying power of exercise.
Liz Hilliard, 70, revealed that she has never looked better thanks to a healthy habit that transformed her appearance.
The youthful septuagenarian, who works as a fitness instructor, said: "I never expected to be healthier and stronger at 70 than I was at 40 — but that's exactly what happened."
"You're never too old, and it’s never too late to be powerful," she concluded.
As well as doing Muay Thai daily, Dr Bromley nourishes her body with healthy foods.
"When it comes to diet, I prioritise high-quality nutrition. Veggie-packed soups, whole foods, and nutrient-dense meals fuel me," she said.
Of course, the ageless 44-year-old also takes care of her skin, "swearing by" top-tier products.
She specifically noted peptides, which are the "building blocks of proteins, such as collagen, elastin and keratin", as defined by Boots. The anti-ageing enthusiast also ensures she gets the vitamins her skin "needs".
"A big part of my secret is also quality sleep: eight hours every night without fail. Rest is the key to resetting, recharging, and maintaining that youthful energy," she continued.
Good sleep hygiene is widely considered an essential practice for youthful looks, so make sure you're getting the right amount.
Dr Bromley concluded: "Looking younger is great, but being in top shape and feeling unstoppable is the real reward.
"These habits have been my foundation for staying in peak physical and mental health, at any age."
GB News has spoken to several women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond about their anti-ageing secrets.
One almost-60-year-old revealed that no one believes her when she shares her age; a nightly practice guarantees a youthful complexion.
For a 69-year-old who looks years younger, the secret is never leaving the house without her go-to skin care product.
