A major food safety alert has been issued for six varieties of dark chocolate-coated snacks from Bare Pantry after milk was discovered in products despite not being mentioned on the label.
The affected items include dark chocolate-covered almonds, pretzels, hazelnuts, cashews, Brazil nuts, and jumbo raisins.
The presence of milk poses serious health concerns for individuals with dairy allergies or lactose intolerance.
All production dates are affected by the recall, meaning customers should check any products from Bare Pantry regardless of when they were purchased.
The company has initiated a comprehensive recall programme and is working to retrieve all affected products.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) published official recall notifications on September 22 and 23, 2025, alerting consumers to the potential danger.
The regulatory body confirmed that milk had been found in products where it was not declared on packaging labels, instructing shoppers: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not consume it."
Officials have also instructed Bare Pantry to notify allergy support groups about the contamination issue.

It comes as chocolate biscuits were recalled across TK Maxx and Homesense stores in England, Scotland, and Wales over health concerns.
The warning concerned six types of Les Florentins Chocolat Biscuits that may contain gluten not declared on their labels.
Customers were advised to follow the typical recall process: avoid consuming the product if affected by gluten, and return it to its place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
About allergy alerts
The FSA explained: "Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold.
"Then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
"Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect, or if there is any other food allergy risk. When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert."
