Nestlé confirmed two iconic sweets have been axed and some shoppers are not happy

Confectionary brands like Nestlé will often take a look at their products, adding new sweets to their lines and removing ones that aren't as popular.

Some customers have just realised Polo Fruits and Polo Gummies have been axed and many are disappointed with the decision.

The company announced Polo Fruits and Polo Gummies were discontinued in October but many fans missed the note.

The company posted on X: "Unfortunately, our Polo Fruits and Polo Gummies were not as popular as others in the range and have been discontinued. But we'll surely let the team know you'd like to see them back."

Shoppers have now taken to social media as they realise the sweets are no longer available.

One asked: "Just thinking about Polo Fruits. Why... did they disappear?? Madness."

Another X user has asked followers if they preferred Polo Fruits or Polo Mints and many said they prefer "amazing" Polo Fruit. One customer said: "I preferred the Polo Fruits, I couldn’t get enough of them, I loved them, it was a very sad day when they were discontinued."

One more X user agreed, posting: "Polo Fruits were great. They were not overly sweet. Just enough. They should bring them back."

Another simply said they were "the best" while a social media user declared "bring back Polo Fruits".

This is not the first time this year Nestlé announced it would shake up the stock it offers as two iconic chocolate bars were scrapped.

Customers will no longer be able to buy Breakaway or Yorkie Biscuit bars as the chocolate bars have seen a slump in sales. Breakaway bars have now stopped production.

Caramac bars have also been discontinued. While shoppers are unhappy with the removal of Yorkie Biscuit bars, classic Yorkie chocolate are "staying for good".

Most recently Nestlé launched nostalgic new flavours after scrapping popular chocolates, but fans had mixed reviews.

It launched share bags for Munchies, Milkybar Buttons, Aero Melts and Rowntrees in new nostalgic ice cream flavours.

Brand manager at Nestlé Cat Mews said: “We’re so excited to introduce our new Nestlé sharing bag range. Taking inspiration from those classic frozen flavours that we all know and love, we’ve developed some nostalgic taste combinations that chocolate fanatics will be sure to love.

“The new ice cream inspired range features deliciously flavoured products from four of our top sellers and we can’t wait for people to try them."
