'You have perfection!' Iceland launches enormous plate-sized hash browns and customers 'need it'

The comments section was flooded with renditions of "That’s a need for me" and "I need it".

One Iceland shopper said: "Tin of baked beans over the top and you have perfection."

Another shared a heart-eyed emoji and commented: "We could put a whole breakfast on that!"

A third had a great idea, suggesting using the concoction to make a "hash brown breakfast pizza".

A fellow hash brown enthusiast replied: "Oh yes, just add tomato purée and cheese bacon and mushrooms, mmm."

One suggested: "First hash brown with cheese and beans, second I'd top with breakfast items. Then I'd love to try it like a pizza with my favourite pizza toppings. These are going to be fun to try - so many meals. Already in my freezer, yum."

Another hash brown fan tagged a loved one, stating: "You need to buy me one of these please."

One sceptical shopper was worried the huge hash browns would not cook properly but her claims were quickly dispelled.

She said: "I know these won’t cook evenly - the edges nice and crispy and the middle like mush."

But one hash brown fan alleviated this fear, stating: "I use a pizza tray, cook well in it." Another added: "Cooked in air fryer really well."

Over on the Newfoodsuk Instagram page, a shopper tagged their loved one, instructing them to "get these in your freezer in preparation".

Another alerted another user, saying: "Have you seen these??? Saturday morning special."

One said: "Oh Jesus! Imagine this covered in beans." Another told a fellow hash brown fan: "Omg, I’m near an Iceland on Tuesday. Will pick us up some of these bad boys."

But of course, not everyone was super excited about the huge hash browns.

One Instagram user commented that the plate-sized hash browns "don't look as nice as normal ones".

Another lamented: "False advertising. That is not plate sized, that is saucer size."
