With temperatures continuing to soar, potentially reaching highs of 35°C in the South of England, many Britons will be seeking solace in their freezers today.
But as we reach for ice lollies and ice creams during this sweltering heat, it is crucial to remain aware of a significant safety risk.
Just days ago, a major British manufacturer recalled a classic ice cream after failing to display allergens in English.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) warned: "Several batches of Wall's Mini Milk Vanilla, Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies were deemed unsafe because they contain milk and may contain nuts (pistachios), peanuts and soya, which are not mentioned in English on the label.
"This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to nuts (pistachios) and/or an allergy to peanuts and/or soya."
It has been confirmed that this ice cream, which is popular with children, is sold at major supermarket Sainsbury's. In light of this, the retailer has issued important advice to those who have purchased the affected product.

Sainsbury's told shoppers: "In the UK, Walls is recalling a number of Wall's Mini Milk Vanilla Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies 10x35ml packs as a precaution following a labelling error, which means product information, including ingredients and allergens (milk and may contain soy, pistachio, and peanut), are in Spanish rather than English.
"The product and ingredients are the same as the UK product, and it is only a limited number of Wall's Mini Milk Vanilla Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies 10x35ml packs that feature the incorrect Spanish label.
"Customers are advised that if you have purchased this product and have any allergy concerns, please do not consume it and instead return it to your local Sainsbury's store for a full refund."

Sainsbury's assured shoppers that no other Walls products have been affected by the recall, and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
If you have purchased the recalled ice cream from any other retailer, consult the FSA's dedicated web page.
Information on milk, soy, pistachio, and peanut allergies is available on Allergy UK, an NHS-approved charity that supports people living with allergies.
Allergy UK stated: "An allergy is the response of the body's immune system to normally harmless substances, such as pollens, foods, and house dust mite.
"Whilst in most people these substances (allergens) pose no problem, in allergic individuals, their immune system identifies them as a 'threat' and produces an inappropriate response.
"This can be relatively minor, such as localised itching, but in more severe cases it causes anaphylaxis, a condition which can lead to upper respiratory obstruction and collapse and can be fatal.
"Allergies are very common. They're thought to affect more than one in four people in the UK at some point in their lives.
"They’re particularly common in children. Some allergies go away as a child gets older, although many are lifelong."
Food and product recalls must always be taken seriously to ensure shopper safety.
Aldi shoppers were recently issued an urgent warning following a contamination scare in the supermarket.
It was discovered that a chicken product sold in stores may contain plastic, posing a choking hazard if consumed.
Anyone who has purchased the chicken should return it to their nearest Aldi store for a full refund.
