Aldi has unveiled an iconic Oasis tribute as the band prepares to kick off their reunion on July 4

An Aldi store in Manchester has undergone an unusual transformation ahead of this summer's highly anticipated Oasis reunion concerts.

The Bury New Road location in Prestwich has been temporarily rebranded as "Aldeh", adopting the distinctive Mancunian pronunciation of the discount retailer's name.

The change appeared overnight at the select store and will serve as a tribute to both the band and Manchester's musical heritage throughout Oasis' comeback stint in the city.

And the nod to the iconic Mancunian band hasn't gone unnoticed by shoppers and music enthusiasts alike.

Aldi's new sign has already attracted attention from Oasis fans sporting 90s-inspired bucket hats, who have been queuing outside the store to photograph the "Aldeh" logo on their phones.

The rebrand was first spotted on social media, where it received an enthusiastic response.

"Just on my way to do my weekly shop, and what do I see? Aldeh! It's absolutely brilliant," one user shared excitedly.

Another added: "Oasis are coming home and this hilarious tribute tops it off... It's a great time to be in Manchester."

The supermarket chain is also capitalising on the reunion fever with merchandise that references the band's signature style.

From July 3, Aldi will begin selling a brand-new range of Aldimania Bucket Hats for just £4.99.

The headwear pays homage to the bucket hats that became synonymous with Oasis during their 90s heyday, with the accessory serving as a defining part of the band's look during their rise to fame.

The timing of the product launch coincides with the build-up to the reunion concerts, offering fans a budget-friendly way to embrace the nostalgia surrounding the band's return to Manchester.

Oasis will kick off their reunion gigs on July 4 and are set to grace the stage in their home city at Heaton Park from July 11 untilJuly 20.

The reunion gigs are happening less than a mile away from the Aldi store on Bury New Road, making it the perfect pre-gig stop-off point for fans.

Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi, Julie Ashfield, commented on the store's humorous tribute. She said: "Manchester is a vibrant city with a rich musical history, and with the Oasis reunion, we wanted to mark the occasion.

"By temporarily renaming our Bury New Road store to 'Aldeh,' we're celebrating both the local dialect and the legendary band that has brought so much joy to fans worldwide."

Aldi is constantly making exciting changes to delight customers. The supermarket recently unveiled a new garden range that includes the "ultimate centrepiece", although customers will have to act fast if they want to snap it up.

For shoppers seeking a tasty seasonal tipple, the discount retailer's "perfect" summer wine is out now.
