Aldi is set to introduce an unconventional addition to British crisp aisles - bringing scintillating flavours from across the pond in the unique form of hot dog and onion flavoured crisps.
The Specially Selected crisps, for £1.15 per pack, make up part of the German discounter's returning Taste of America range, bringing distinctly American flavours to British shoppers.
Arriving in stores on June 26, the unusual offering promises to deliver "the signature taste of smoky pork, combined with tangy tomato and caramelised onion" in the retailer's premium crinkle cut style.
But, for those who just can't wait for an earlier taste of American snacking innovation, Aldi is stocking up on two new Takis varieties from June 12 at £2.99 per 180g pack.

The range includes an Intense Nacho flavour alongside a Teriyaki variety exclusive to the budget retailer. These bold additions follow what Aldi describes as "the huge popularity of previous flavour launches" of the Mexican-American rolled tortilla chip brand.
The timing allows crisp enthusiasts a fortnight's preview of transatlantic snacking trends before the full Taste of America range arrives, offering premium-style products at discount prices.
The hot dog crisps join an extensive American-themed product line returning to Aldi's shelves.
The Taste of America range encompasses over 25 items, from American Style Sodas at 49p per litre to premium offerings like Country Cream Cookie Dough ice cream at £7.49.

The retailer warns that "once they're gone, they're gone" - a familiar refrain for British shoppers accustomed to the German chain's rotating special offers.
However, Aldi has also made sure it's satiated it's sweet-toothed shoppers, entering the premium pâtisserie market with the launch of Specially Selected Chouxnuts in two trending flavours, priced at £2.99 for a two-pack.
