Supermarket bosses have leapt on the viral craze as feverish fans rush to snap up the latest spin on the international obsession

Dubai chocolate has been all the craze over the past several months, leading to supermarkets across the land creating their own take on the pistachio-chocolate melange.

Most recently, Aldi has launched a £3.99 version of the viral Dubai-style chocolate bar, sending chocolate enthusiasts frolicking to stores across Britain.

The confectionery, which gained popularity through social media, offers shoppers an affordable alternative to the luxury treat.

The 100g bar arrived in Aldi stores nationwide, promising what the retailer describes as a "rich and indulgent experience" without the premium price tag typically associated with such artisanal chocolates.

The launch follows the explosive social media trend that has seen Dubai-style chocolate bars become one of the most sought-after sweet treats as of late.

The chocolate features layers of creamy pistachio and crunchy kadayif pastry encased in smooth milk chocolate. Aldi announced the launch on Facebook, declaring that "this was not a drill", asking customers if they would be purchasing the bars.

The response from shoppers has been overwhelmingly positive, with one excited customer commenting: "You knocked it out of the park with this. Absolutely amazing."

Another shopper suggested a playful rebrand, joking: "It definitely should have been called Dub-Aldi chocolate."

Comments flooded in with one person simply writing "More temptation," while others enquired whether the bars would become a permanent fixture in stores.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

The chocolate forms part of Aldi's Specialbuys range, meaning availability is limited and unlikely to be restocked once sold out. The supermarket has imposed no purchasing limits, allowing customers to buy multiple bars.

As a result, plenty of fans have shared concerns that it might result in rapid stock depletion as shoppers seek to secure the viral treat.

With demand anticipated to be high, chocolate enthusiasts are advised to visit their local Aldi promptly to avoid disappointment.

The launch follows widespread shortages of Dubai-style chocolate across UK retailers, with many shops struggling to keep the trendy confection in stock. But it's not the first time Aldi has dipped its toe into the Dubai chocolate pool.

Dubai Chocolate Style Ice Cream was previously introduced at Aldi, although it sparked mixed reviews from shoppers.

While Aldi described the £3.99 dessert as a "pistachio lover's cream come true", not all shoppers were impressed.

Indeed, one said on social media: "Honestly, I don't know the obsession with Dubai chocolate, people hop on trends so fast."

Another shared a similar sentiment: "It's so overrated now."
