A renowned expert on longevity has unveiled what he considers one of the planet's healthiest dishes, comprising just four straightforward ingredients.
Dan Buettner, who holds a fellowship with National Geographic and has dedicated decades to researching communities with exceptional lifespans, posted the recipe to his 817,000 Instagram followers.
"One of the healthiest meals on the planet has four ingredients," he stated. "Black beans, avocado, sweet potato, [and] rice - this is how the world's longest-living people eat every day," Buettner explained, referencing the dietary patterns observed in Blue Zones, regions where centenarians are commonplace.
In an accompanying video, the 65-year-old demonstrated his preparation method, which he described as both uncomplicated and "maniacally delicious".

"I bake the sweet potato. I cook the rice, I stew the beans, I cut up the avocado," Buettner explained. "I mix them all together, and if I'm feeling crazy, I put some hot sauce on it."
The National Geographic fellow insisted the combination contains everything necessary for a lengthy life whilst remaining remarkably simple to prepare.
