The actress posted shortly after Victoria Beckham's own Easter photos were shared

Nicola Peltz appeared to take a swipe at the Beckham family over the Easter weekend, posting photographs of extravagant celebration baskets just hours after Victoria Beckham unveiled her own elaborate holiday display.

The 31-year-old billionaire heiress shared an image on Instagram featuring two baskets, one blue and one pink, overflowing with chocolate treats, flowers and gifts.

Her post arrived shortly after her mother-in-law had showcased meticulously arranged personalised hampers for the Beckham clan on the same platform.

Victoria, 51, had posed in her pyjamas surrounded by custom-made Easter packages, including Cadbury Mini Eggs bearing individual family members' names alongside wrapped presents in bespoke tote bags.

The timing of Nicola's post struck many observers as a pointed response amid the ongoing family rift.

The former Spice Girl's Easter spread included gifts for husband David, 50, daughter Harper, 14, sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, as well as their respective girlfriends Kim Turnbull, 24, and Jackie Apostel, 30.

Brooklyn and Nicola's names were missing from the family celebration.

The Beckhams had gathered in Miami to mark the occasion, with the family flying out to support David at the opening of Inter Miami's new $750 million Nu Stadium in the Freedom Park entertainment district.

Victoria shared a gushing tribute to her husband following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, writing: "What an incredible night last night!!! We couldn't be prouder @davidbeckham watching you turn your dream into reality inspires us all every day."

She tagged Romeo, Cruz, Harper and their partners in the post, but made no mention of Brooklyn.

The social media exchange comes more than two months after Brooklyn released a bombshell six-page statement in January, declaring he had no desire to mend relations with his family.

In the lengthy post, the 27-year-old aspiring chef alleged he had endured "endless attacks" from his parents David and Victoria.

He further accused the couple of attempting to "ruin" his marriage to Nicola.

Brooklyn and Nicola, who are based in America, declined to attend the Miami stadium opening despite it presenting another opportunity for reconciliation.

The eldest Beckham son was spotted looking tense in West Hollywood on Friday evening, pacing outside the Sunset Plaza Hotel while engaged in an animated phone conversation.

He was seen moving his arms expressively during the lengthy call.

The family tensions have taken an emotional toll on Cruz, who struggled to contain his feelings during a recent performance at London's Courtyard Theatre.

The young musician became tearful while performing his band The Breakers' single "Loneliest Boy," a track widely believed to reference his older brother's estrangement.

With Romeo and parents David and Victoria watching from the audience, Cruz faltered over lyrics including "Loneliest boy, mama don't talk too much, it's breaking her heart."

Bandmate Dan Ewins placed a comforting arm around his shoulders as the singer wiped his eyes mid-performance.

Romeo was also seen shedding tears from his seat at the intimate east London venue.

Other lyrics in the song include: "Tell me how do you live, when you've got nobody to lose?"
