The former glamour model retracted criticism of the British singer after learning the true reason behind royal honour

Katie Price has publicly apologised to Myleene Klass after criticising her being made an MBE this year during a recent live tour appearance.

The former glamour model, 47, expressed regret on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, after learning she had misunderstood the real reason behind the British singer's royal recognition.

She had previously questioned why the television presenter had received the honour and referred to her as a “clone” during a joint tour with ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona.

On her podcast, however, she admitted she had been unaware of the circumstances surrounding the award when she made the remarks.

Ms Price's sister Sophie challenged her directly during the recording, prompting the model to reassess the comments she had made on stage and in an interview with Closer Magazine, where she asked: “Why the f**k has Myleene Klass got an MBE? For playing the classical piano?”

On the podcast, she said: "Right, on my show I've just done with Kerry, there was a quote, and it wasn't aimed at Myleene, an old quote of mine, ''these days anyone can get an MBE but I've never been given one when I do a lot for charity and stuff.'

"And I said people like Myleene Klass, what is she known for? Playing the classical piano, because I don't read about Myleene, and I've met Myleene and I've always liked Myleene.

"I think I did Loose Women with her sometimes, and it wasn't a direct dig at her.

"What I'm saying is people like Myleene Klass have the same management as most of the TV people out there, presenters and that, and I call them all the clones, because they all have the same management, and they all come out as if they're smelling of roses. They're all under the same umbrella, the same kind of managers."

She continued: "Now I never apologise unless I'm in the wrong. I did not know on my life, now I know why she did get an MBE.

"She done something about miscarriages, and that's very close to my heart as I've also had miscarriages and at late stages in pregnancy, so I commend her for that and I apologise to her.

"But I don't mean it like the clone bit, it's not that she's a clone of anyone else, I meant they're all a clone, they're all in the same management.

"So for me, for her to do the miscarriage and stuff, I apologise to her because I didn't know she did that."

This is not the first time Ms Price caused a stir on her recent tour.

She caused a major controversy on the Bradford leg of the tour by publicly naming a British television personality she alleged had raped her more than two decades ago.

Sources say Ms Katona disclosed that the glamour model had previously shared this information with her while they were contestants on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.

"I remember you telling me that when we were in the jungle together," Ms Katona told audiences after Ms Price shared the name of the alleged perpetrator.

Ms Price revealed to the crowd: "He raped me, and when it came out, all my friends said I had got to go to the police, but I did not go to the police because I did not want to get involved with it all."

Audience members expressed shock at the revelation with audible gasps heard in the auditorium.

It is believed the broadcaster chose not to air this conversation despite continuous filming of contestants, removing it from the final programme due to legal considerations.

GB News contacted ITV for comment on the reports.

Ms Price's representatives declined to comment.

Mr Klass is yet to respond to the apology.
