The criticism to Monday's repeat episode comes after several recent instalments also prompted backlash

The Chase fans were left furious at the start of the week as a classic episode saw host Bradley Walsh "accepting a wrong answer".

The episode, which originally aired in 2022, saw Walsh, 65, asking Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan a question about milk bottle colours.

During the final chase, Walsh asked the quizzer: "What colour indicates semi-skimmed milk on bottles?"

"Red and silver," Ryan replied, with Walsh deciding: "I'll accept," but the moment prompted fury from viewers tuned in.

Bradley Walsh sparked outrage over a question about milk bottles

Many of them rushed to social media to point out the answer was "incorrect" because green is the colour used to indicate semi-skimmed milk for plastic bottles.

"Semi skimmed milk tops are green #thechase," one argued, with another echoing this with: "Semi skimmed is green!"

Another shared: "I thought semi skimmed was green?!" which led to another stating: "Weird he just accepted a wrong answer!"

"The question should really have specified a brand of milk if there are going to be alternative answers. #TheChase," someone else suggested.

Others noted that glass bottles do use a different colour system, with red and silver representing semi-skimmed instead.

One explained: "On bottles it’s red and silver stripes."

"Semi skimmed milk in glass bottles are red/silver striped. Poly containers it’s green. #thechase," another clarified.

However, some still questioned whether Walsh should have accepted the answer, with one fan adding: "He didn’t say glass bottles though, & like you say who gets glass bottles?" (sic)

Recently, fans of the show aired similar complaints when some argued the same Chaser, Ryan, had been given "easy questions".

The episode, which was on screens in May, saw all four contestants successfully making it to the final chase - a rare achievement on the show.

Viewers were quick to point out the stark contrast in difficulty between the contestants' questions and those posed to the Chaser.

The team faced challenging questions like "What is the most popular city in Algeria?" and "Pat Rafter Arena is a Brisbane stadium court for what sport?"

A recent episode saw Ryan receiving 'easy' questions

Meanwhile, Ryan was asked seemingly simpler questions such as "In which century was 1812?" and "What UK airport is known as NCL?"

Other notably easy questions for the Chaser included "A clumsy person is said to be like a bull in a what?" and "What restaurant chain calls its employees Nandocas?"

This disparity left many viewers questioning the fairness of the competition.

Fans took to social media to express their outrage at what they perceived as unfair treatment.

One viewer wrote on X: "Most of those questions were ridiculously easy," with another adding: "The Vixen's questions were far far too easy."
