The update follows widespread disappointment from fans

Harry Styles has confirmed two additional performances at Wembley Stadium, expanding his summer residency to a record-breaking 12 nights.

The former One Direction frontman will surpass Coldplay's achievement of 10 shows at the capital's venue during their Music of the Spheres tour last year.

Mr Styles had previously announced 10 dates as part of his Together, Together Tour before Wednesday's update.

The 31-year-old will also eclipse Taylor Swift's eight-night Eras Tour stint, which stood as the highest number of Wembley performances by a solo artist in a single run.

A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: "We are incredibly proud to welcome Harry Styles back to Wembley Stadium for what will be a truly historic run of shows.

"The 12 nights will be among the most special in our stadium's long history."

Following the initial tour announcement last week, fans have expressed frustration over ticket pricing, with many taking to social media to slam the singer.

Prices range from £72.95 to £725.45 for the London shows, while tickets for the Amsterdam leg were on sale for €74.05 to €828.62.

One X user fumed: "It was cheaper to see Taylor Swift… When she was playing 45+ songs a night…"

"@Harry_Styles The single concert ticket shouldn’t be more than the f***ing flight my man," a second complained.

On today's update, a source told The Sun: "This is huge for Harry. Everyone thought he would have a huge solo career, but this has exceeded his wildest dreams."

The insider added: "These two new dates are the final ones in London, more will be added... on this leg of the tour at least. Of course, by summer 2027, who knows."

The newly announced concerts will take place on July 1 and 4, completing the London leg of his global tour.

It was also announced that Shania Twain will join Mr Styles as his support act for the Wembley performances.

Other artists supporting the tour at various international stops include DJ Jamie XX, Swedish pop star Robyn, British singer Jorja Smith, and electroclash act Fcukers.

The Together, Together Tour launches in May and will take Mr Styles across multiple continents.

Beyond London, the itinerary includes Amsterdam, New York, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Sydney.

The extensive run marks his return to live performance following the conclusion of his Love On Tour dates in 2023.

Mr Styles' return to the spotlight accompanies the announcement of his fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time, Disco, Occasionally, scheduled for release on March 6.

The record represents his first new material since Harry's House in 2022, following an extended period away from the public eye.

His comeback single Aperture, released last week, appears poised to become his third solo UK number one this Friday.
