Sir David Beckham has spoken out after his son Brooklyn made scathing claims about him and wife, Victoria, on social media.
Taking to Instagram on Monday evening, the 26-year-old broke his silence on the long-reported feud between himself and his family, accusing his parents of "controlling" him and insisting he has no desire to reconcile.
Speaking on Tuesday, Mr Beckham said his children had "made mistakes" on social media in a rather loaded TV interview.
He stated: "I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media... For the good and for the bad.

David and Victoria Beckham have come under fire by son Brooklyn | GETTYIn the brutal and public outburst, Brooklyn claimed he had been "controlled" by his family and that they care only about the "Beckham brand".
Hitting back at his brother Cruz's claims that he had "blocked" the whole family on social media, he alleged that he was not the instigator of the snub, instead claiming that his siblings were encouraged to attack him online before cutting him off themselves.
The eldest Beckham brother also detailed how his fashion designer mother, Victoria, had cancelled making Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute, and claimed his wedding had been ruined by his mother's behaviour.
"My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance, to a romantic love song," he penned.
Brooklyn and Nicola have been distancing themselves from the Beckhams for some time | GETTYThe claim continued: "In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me.
"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.
"We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."
Away from his interview with CNBC, Sir David plastered a smile on his face but seemed far from his worry-free self during his public appearance.
He refused to answer a question from Sky about whether he had a message for his son and if he was disappointed about the public nature the rift had taken, not responding to the prompt.
