The star is still not talking to his family after making his feelings clear during a lengthy statement

Brooklyn Beckham acknowledged he can "come across as annoying sometimes" whilst speaking at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York about his hot sauce venture Cloud23.

The 27-year-old, who has experienced varying degrees of success in his professional endeavours, revealed the unconventional origins of his condiment business.

He explained: "Basically my wife and I got really drunk in our apartment while making hot sauce."

The eldest Beckham child described how he subsequently watched a brief tutorial on sauce-making before attempting it again the following day.

"I really wanted to see what I could create," he said.

The admission came as he reflected on his journey to find a career path, noting that four years ago he was still determining what direction to take professionally.

Mr Beckham also offered insight into his approach to developing the brand, admitting he frequently contacts the company's chief executive with spontaneous concepts.

"I'm always calling the CEO on Sunday at 10pm with a crazy idea of what direction we might go in or a condiment idea. I'll call with a ridiculous idea," he said.

It was during this discussion that he made his self-deprecating observation about potentially irritating others with his enthusiasm.

The influencer and chef also made the surprising admission that he "hasn't worked in five years" as a result of his dedication to Cloud23.

He spoke candidly about the period leading up to launching the business, explaining he had spent considerable time attempting to establish what he wanted to pursue professionally.

Mr Beckham has faced considerable scrutiny throughout his attempts at various professions, with detractors suggesting he has leveraged his famous family's connections to gain opportunities.

His career trajectory has taken numerous turns, beginning with a stint in Arsenal's youth academy before transitioning to modelling and social media influence, securing multiple brand partnerships along the way.

He has also ventured into photography and cookery, with mixed reception from critics and the public alike.

Most recently, Nicola Peltz's husband announced plans to become a Formula E driver, reportedly motivated by his wife telling him he appeared "sexy" in the racing attire.

This latest ambition came despite requiring seven attempts to successfully pass his driving theory examination.

The festival appearance comes against the backdrop of Mr Beckham's estrangement from his parents David and Victoria, having released a statement in January severing ties with his family.

He was notably absent from his grandfather Anthony's 80th birthday celebrations last month, though he did acknowledge the occasion on social media.

The rest of the Beckham family attended the lavish party, including his brothers Romeo and Cruz with their respective partners.

Despite the apparent breakdown in relations with his parents, sources indicate Mr Beckham remains close to his grandparents.

"While things between him and his parents are over, Brooklyn is still very fond of his grandparents. There is a lot of love for them, and that has never faltered," a source told The Mirror.
