The reality star was left concerned when her son became unconcious

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jess Wright has spoken about the “scariest day” of her life after her four-year-old son Presley was seriously injured in what she described as a “freak accident” involving a bouncy castle.

The television personality, who has 1.4 million followers on Instagram, revealed that Presley was “catapulted” from the top of a bouncy castle during a children's birthday party on Saturday, landing face down on a hard wooden floor from an estimated height of three metres.

Sharing details of the incident on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Ms Wright said the accident left partygoers stunned.

“We had a really scary thing happen at a bday party,” she wrote.

“Presley got catapulted off the top of a bouncy castle high in the air and landed face down on hard wooden floor from about three metres high.

“A noise that silenced the whole party and will haunt me I’m sure.”

According to Ms Wright, the impact left her son struggling to breathe before he briefly lost consciousness.

“My baby was struggling to breath and then passed out in our arms until coming to in what felt like ages later but probably about five seconds,” she said.

Presley was rushed by ambulance to a hospital in London, where medical staff assessed him for potentially serious injuries.

Ms Wright said discussions during the journey included concerns about broken ribs, spinal injuries and other possible complications.

“Miraculously when we arrived the show had subsided slightly and pain killers kicked in and a few hours later we were released with no injuries other than a few bruises, a very sore little boy and traumatised parents,” she wrote.

The 39-year-old later shared photographs showing Presley lying in her arms and resting on a hospital stretcher.

Describing the ordeal as the “scariest day of my life”, Ms Wright explained that her son has a heart condition, making her particularly anxious about his wellbeing.

The podcast host said the experience had left a lasting impact on the family and prompted her to reconsider the safety of bouncy castles when hard surfaces are nearby.

Calling the incident a “freak accident”, Ms Wright said she would be much more cautious about allowing Presley to use a bouncy castle again if there was any risk of him being thrown onto a hard floor.

Despite the frightening circumstances, Presley escaped with only minor bruising, a result Ms Wright described as nothing short of miraculous.

The incident comes after Ms Wright has previously spoken publicly about her son’s health challenges.

Wright and her husband, businessman William Lee-Kemp, welcomed Presley in May 2022, their first child together, less than a year after marrying in Mallorca, Spain.

In 2024, Ms Wright revealed that Presley had been diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition known as a bicuspid aortic valve, a defect present from birth in which the aortic valve has two flaps instead of three.

At the time, she said doctors had warned he may require open-heart surgery in the future, describing the diagnosis as a moment when “the world just stopped moving”.

The former reality star has since shared regular updates on Presley’s condition, revealing earlier this year that doctors had seen a rare improvement in his health, although he continues to undergo regular monitoring.

In February 2025, Ms Wright revealed that Presley was rushed to hospital after becoming seriously ill with a fever and cough.

She told followers she found her son “limp and lifeless” before calling emergency services, describing the ordeal as another frightening experience for the family.

Speaking after Saturday’s accident, Ms Wright admitted that Presley’s heart condition has made her especially anxious about his safety, making the latest incident even more traumatic for the family.
