James Eden, the entrepreneur behind clothing brand Private White V.C., attended the gathering and paid warm tribute to his friend.
"Last night I was honoured to be invited to Chelsea Barracks for a soirée celebrating the retirement of my good friend Jag, King Charles' personal Head of Security for many years and, for those who know him, simply one of the finest people you will ever meet," he wrote.
Eden described Jag as "an absolute hero" and recalled how the security chief and his wife Nikki had become close friends after visiting his business several years ago.
The businessman highlighted Jag's impeccable appearance, calling him "without question one of the most photogenic and stylish men I have ever met" and noting his pleasure at seeing the bodyguard photographed in Private White V.C. garments across the globe.
Jag's tenure saw him provide protection at some of the most significant royal occasions in recent history, including the King's Coronation and Royal Ascot.
His final assignment came during the King’s State Visit to the United States, which ran from April 27 to 30.
The trip proceeded under heightened security measures following a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 25.
Despite initial uncertainty surrounding the visit, Buckingham Palace confirmed the engagement would go ahead as scheduled.
Throughout the four-day trip, Jag remained a constant presence alongside the royal couple, including at the welcome garden party on the opening day.
Reports indicate that the royal couple have requested that Jag remain involved with the household in some capacity going forward.
Throughout his service, the bodyguard cultivated a distinctive image that captured public attention online.
His elegant suited attire, well-groomed facial hair and trademark umbrella drew comparisons to a real-life 'Kingsman' character.
