The series two star had a lot to say about the current episodes when speaking exclusively to GB News

The Traitors returned to BBC One last week, and the series brought with it a new twist to shake things up.

Paul Gorton, a memorable Traitor from series two, shared his thoughts on the new feature and made a suggestion for the show's bosses.

Speaking exclusively to GB News on behalf of 10Bet Casino, Mr Gorton branded the Secret Traitor feature "the best inclusion on a game show ever since television was invented."

He enthused: "I can't remember a time I've sat, and I've realised that I'm now included in this game as a viewer at home.

"I've played The Traitors in The Traitors Live in Covent Garden, where you get to go and play the game.

"So I know what it's like to be a Faithful but now there's like, eight million people at home that realise it's actually an impossible task, trying to find Traitors, because you're judging people that you don't know in changes of behavior, but you don't know what their behavior was anyway, except for at the station, and you're there for about 20 minutes or something.

"Let's not judge people that quickly! But I think it is marvelous. I love it."

Sharing his own suggestion, Mr Gorton pleaded: "Well, [The Traitors] need to bring me and Harry [Clark] back, right? Surely, they need to bring us back."

He went on to share his pleas for a potential "all stars" version of the show, with previous stars returning to compete again.

"Oh, my God, it's all I ever say, and I put it out in the universe a lot!" he laughed.

Mr Gorton suggested: "I would love to have 22 traitors from previous seasons to come back and play The Traitors - you've got me, Mina, Charlotte, Will, Kieran, and we're all just sat there like, 'Where do we begin?'"

When asked if he'd like to experience competing as a Faithful, he made clear he'd be loyal to his traitorous roots.

"I'd be a traitor again. Being a Faithful is the most stressful, and I love that people at home now get to feel that stress, but it is horrible. You could be murdered every night!" he reflected.

"You could be banished every night. You've got people looking at you and saying, 'Oh, you've changed, and you've changed, and you've done this, and you've done that,' and it's like, 'Well, I haven't.'

"Like Judy [Wilson], she was like, 'I'm just Jude!'"

Sharing further opinions about the Secret Traitor twist, Mr Gorton shared why part of him wishes he could've taken part in a later series.

"I wish that I was on these later seasons, because it's now getting like the 10 million people watching it.

"It's awesome. I would have loved it. But no, no. I'm glad that we were in season two, because I don't think our season will ever be topped, because season one felt like a pilot, season two felt like the real thing."

Mr Gorton also branded the banished Traitor Hugo Lodge as "weak" as he summarised the efforts of the participants in the current series.
