Ann Widdecombe has highly praised GB News presenter and TV legend Angela Rippon, following her successful first week competing on BBC's hit competition show Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking on Mark Dolan Tonight, the former Tory Minister reflected on her own Strictly experience, and hoped for Rippon to go 'all the way' in the contest.
Dolan asked: "What's your verdict on Angela Rippon's stint on the BBC1 dance show?"
Widdecombe replied: "Well, Angela is more than 10 years older than I was when I did Strictly, and she's a much more accomplished dancer. And she does actually understand movement to music. Now, I didn't understand all of those things.
"I think this is terrific. And that high kick that Angela did? It was an accomplishment. Mine was entertaining, but hers was an accomplishment."
Dolan then asked: "Can she go all the way Ann?"
Widdecombe shared her support for Rippon, saying: "I would love to see her win. I would love to see her win. But you know, the the competition will pan out. And you know what it's like, it's too early, too early to say."
