The TV presenter accompanied her denial with a video that playfully referenced Meghan Markle's recent social media post

This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has taken to social media to dismiss false pregnancy rumours circulating online.

The 50-year-old television personality addressed the speculation on Instagram earlier today, firmly denying claims that she is expecting a child.

Hammond revealed that artificial intelligence-generated stories had been spreading across the internet suggesting she was pregnant.

She responded to the unfounded rumours with characteristic humour, making light of the situation whilst setting the record straight for her followers.

The Birmingham-born presenter, who hosts the popular ITV daytime programme, used both an Instagram post and story to ensure her message reached fans clearly.

In her Instagram post, Hammond wrote: "Lots of Ai stories online about me being pregnant, I can confirm I am not having a baby as I'm not sure my 50 year old womb could take it. However I do think we should all dance like Meghan!!"

The presenter, who has a 20-year-old son named Aidan from a previous relationship, made the announcement with her trademark wit.

She is currently in a relationship with 27-year-old David Putman.

Hammond reinforced her message by sharing the post on her Instagram Story, adding a "fake news" emoji and the caption: "I am not pregnant."

Hammond accompanied her denial with a video that playfully referenced Meghan Markle's recent social media post.

The This Morning host was seen dancing in her living room to the song "Baby Mama", the same track featured in Meghan's footage.

The Duchess of Sussex had shared the video earlier this week to mark Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday.

It showed her and Prince Harry dancing in a delivery room before their daughter's birth in 2021.

Hammond's post quickly attracted support from celebrity friends, including likes from colleague Josie Gibson and former This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby.

Amanda Holden responded with heart-eyed and laughing emojis, whilst Alexandra Burke and Dr Punam Krishan also shared laughing emojis.

Fans responded enthusiastically to Hammond's post, with one commenting: "Just brilliant."

Another follower suggested: "You and Meghan dancing together would be the ultimate video. Make it happen Alison."

In her original post on Wednesday, Meghan Markle had written: "Four years ago today, this also happened.

"Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work - there was only one thing left to do!"

The video showed the Duchess dancing whilst pregnant, celebrating her youngest child's birthday with the intimate footage from 2021.
