The ITV quiz show has received a barrage of backlash since the new series begun

The 1% Club has left its viewers annoyed once again and threatening to stop watching the show after claiming the questions were “too easy” - and it isn't the first time.

Styled as an IQ test show, 100 contestants compete against one another by answering a total of 15 logic-inspired questions with the hope of winning the £100,000 cash prize.

Starting from 100% down to 1%, the questions are supposed to get increasingly harder with more contestants being eliminated as the rounds go on.

During last nights show, the 1% question read: “What letter completes this sequence? S M H D W M,” with just one contestant remaining.

She explained she had decided to go for the letter Y and claimed the sequence correlated to seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and then years as her answer.

After confidently answering within seconds of ready it, host Lee Mack revealed she was correct and would be walking away with a life changing £98,000.

The viewers at home often play along and discuss their views of the questions on their X accounts, but many were left furious with how “easy” they thought the questions were last night.

One frustrated viewer noted: “Just watched the 1% club and that has to be the easiest 1% question ever. Fix.”

“Very easy week this week! #1%club #itv,” another fumed before a third added: “1% club gone to easy.”

Many viewers claimed that the show had been fixed so more contestants would win big, as another viewers expressed: “What a f***ing fix. I should have turned over ages ago.”

“Is it me or was that the easiest episode of The 1% Club ever?! #The1PercentClub,” a fifth asked before another echoed: “Think I may have to stop watching this show now!

“Every single 1% question is so easy, its like they have a quota.” (sic)

This isn’t the first time that viewers have claimed the new series has had easier questions, as last week they thought the same.

The 1% question read “Using only two letters to fill in the blank, what is the word below? P _ _ _ E _ _ I _ N.”

The answer was “Possession” and was claimed that 99 per cent of the public couldn’t answer it, which included the one contestant who made it to the final.

However, the same couldn’t be said for viewers playing along at home as many of them explained the question was far too easy and managed to answer within seconds.
