With the days getting longer and sunnier across the UK, Britons might be considering a British beach holiday in the coming weeks.
The best beaches at this time of year have been shared in new research, with English coastlines dominating the list.
Experts at GO Outdoors analysed average temperatures, rainfall, sunshine hours and Google reviews to find the best beaches across the UK.
Cuckmere Haven in East Sussex topped the list, performing particularly well for its relatively low spring rainfall of 52mm, high Google review scores of 4.8/5 and average daily spring sunshine hours of 7.8 hours.

The experts said: "Boasting an average of 7.8 hours of daily spring sunshine and just 52mm of rainfall per month, this East Sussex gem enjoys pleasantly mild spring weather.
"Visitors can take in breathtaking views of the Seven Sisters, enjoy scenic walks along the Cuckmere River and admire the coastguard cottages, which have all contributed to the beach’s impressive Google review score of 4.8 out of 5."
While the East Sussex beach came out top, the highest average temperatures on the list were found in Pentle Bay, Tresco, at 10.3°C, and Southwold Beach had the least average rainfall, with 48mm, on average. The Suffolk beach, which took second place, also had the most hours of sunshine, at eight per day.

Consider Rhossili Bay for a pleasant spring beach trip
| PACommenting on the beach, the experts added: "With the highest average daily spring sunshine hours among the top 10 beaches, it’s a great option for spring sun seekers.
"The beach’s shoreline stretches north from the mouth of the River Blyth and past the Southwold pier, where visitors can play arcade games or enjoy some delicious food at the cafes and restaurants, such as the Boardwalk Restaurant and The Clockhouse."
In third place is Druridge Bay Beach, with an impressive Google review score of 4.9/5. The experts commented: "The beach shares the highest Google review rating among the top beaches, 4.9 out of 5, making it a firm favourite with visitors.
"Stretching over seven miles, the beach boasts a beautiful, unspoilt coastline, while nature enthusiasts can enjoy birdwatching and spotting wildlife such as roe deer and red squirrels in the nearby woodlands."
