TUI will resume direct flights between East Midlands airport and the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh from March 2026, marking the route's return after a three-year absence.
The travel operator last served this route in 2023 and will restart the service with twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays.
The announcement comes as TUI expands its services across multiple areas, including new menu items on board following a partnership with independent coffee brand Paddy & Scott's.
Four-night all-inclusive packages to Sharm El Sheikh will start from £1,237 per person based on two sharing, with flights departing East Midlands on July 23, 2026.

The route expansion forms part of TUI's broader service enhancements across its network, which operates from 20 UK airports to 85 destinations worldwide.
The travel company has also unveiled a partnership with Paddy & Scott's to introduce a bespoke coffee blend across its entire fleet.
The collaboration will see the specially developed "Adventure Coffee" served on all TUI flights, marking a significant upgrade to the airline's onboard catering offerings.
The new "Adventure Coffee" blend will cater to various preferences, from cappuccinos to americanos and decaffeinated options, whilst supporting sustainable initiatives and ethical sourcing.

The partnership includes funding school meals for children and providing dignity packs for young women in coffee-growing regions.
