Families across Britain have reason to celebrate as Jet2.com becomes the only UK airline to let children under two fly completely free.
The new policy has kicked in immediately and applies to all fresh bookings made from now on.
It's a game-changer for parents planning holidays to Europe, the Canaries and the Mediterranean. Children need to be under two when they travel for the free fare to apply.
The airline has gone even further with its family-friendly approach. Parents can now check in pushchairs, car seats, travel cots and other baby gear without paying excess baggage fees.
Families will benefit from the free seats
| GETTYThis applies straight away to all bookings. Families get to bring up to two pieces of infant equipment per child under two, and there's no weight limit on these items anymore.
On top of that, babies still get their own 10kg baggage allowance. It means parents can pack all the essentials without worrying about extra charges at the airport.
The changes work for both package holidays with Jet2holidays and flight-only bookings with Jet2.com.
CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, said: "As a family-friendly airline and tour operator, we are always looking at how we can make the experience even better for families travelling with us.
"By putting our customers first and making these changes, meaning that all children under 2 now travel for free whether on a package holiday or a seat-only flight, we are making travel even more accessible for millions of families."
It's clear the company wants to make holidays easier for British families. These changes show Jet2.com is serious about being the go-to airline for parents travelling with young children.
