The Old Stables Campsite in Hayle, Cornwall, was found to be the cheapest stay in the country at just £51 for three nights.
That works out to only £17 per night for a spot that's just five minutes from west Cornwall's beaches. It's a bargain that clearly resonates with visitors - 92 per cent of people who've stayed there would recommend it to others.
The study, by GO Outdoors, reviewed various factors to find where campers can get the most for their money. Researchers checked average summer temperatures, whether sites have shops on location, and what outdoor activities are available within 10 kilometres.

Several campsites across England tied for second place at £60 for three nights, proving there are plenty of wallet-friendly options beyond Cornwall. From Yorkshire to Somerset, Norfolk to Cumbria, affordable camping spots are scattered throughout the country.
It's worth noting that six different sites share the second-place spot, all charging just £20 per night.
The Old Stables Campsite, situated in Hayle, Cornwall, is at the top of the list for the most cost-effective campsite. Experts noted its proximity to beaches makes it particularly appealing for seaside getaways.
Yorkshire's Orcaber Farm earned praise beyond its budget-friendly price. The experts said: "The North Yorkshire camping park is also at the top of our list for the best campsite in England overall, with a camping score of 9.07/10."
