The new routes will begin from March 2026

Budget airline easyJet has revealed plans for two fresh Mediterranean routes departing from Manchester Airport next summer, with bookings already open.

The carrier will begin flying to Montpellier in southern France from March 30, 2026, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

Greek coastal town Preveza joins the schedule from June 24, with Wednesday and Sunday departures. Both services will run throughout the summer season.

Travellers can already secure their seats for these new connections, and the airline's holiday division has put together package deals combining flights with accommodation for each destination.

Montpellier offers visitors the chance to wander through its historic centre and take in the grand Place de la Comédie. The southern French city boasts lively cafés and markets, all enjoyed under a warm Mediterranean sun. It's perfectly positioned near the coast, too.

Meanwhile, Preveza sits on Greece's northwestern shores and has become a favourite for its stunning beaches and picturesque harbour.

The town's laid-back vibe makes it ideal for holidaymakers wanting to mix relaxation with exploring nearby historical attractions.

It's expected to be particularly popular with travellers seeking that perfect blend of culture and coastal charm.

easyJet's UK country manager, Kevin Doyle, said: "In our 30th year, we're still as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in the UK.

"With two new routes and package holidays now available to book from Manchester Airport for next summer, we're continuing to provide our customers in the Northwest with even more choice and connectivity at fantastic fares, and we look forward to welcoming them onboard."

Chief commercial officer at Manchester Airport, Stephen Turner, added: "We are proud to connect the people of the North with more destinations than any other UK airport in the country outside London, so it's fantastic to see easyJet expanding its route network from Manchester next summer with these new destinations.

"Montpellier is not currently served by any other airline, so passengers planning a holiday to the south of France next summer will have even more choice of destinations when flying from Manchester. We're sure these new routes will prove extremely popular."

The airline has been building its presence at Manchester, having introduced services to Izmir, Kalamata, Larnaca, Madrid and Rennes for the first time last summer.

easyJet now stations 23 aircraft at the airport, connecting northwest passengers to 88 destinations across the UK, Europe and North Africa. The carrier operates from 22 UK airports altogether, running more than 630 routes to 140 destinations from Britain to Europe and beyond.
