Holidaymakers can enjoy clear skies and temperatures over 30ºC

Britons searching for a budget-friendly summer getaway may want to look beyond the usual hotspots this year, as new research reveals a surprise destination has become the cheapest place for an all-inclusive holiday in 2026.

According to new data, Bulgaria’s Bourgas area now offers the best-value all-inclusive breaks for British travellers, with a week-long holiday averaging £553 per person.

The findings from TravelSupermarket show a shift compared with last summer, when Tunisian resorts dominated the rankings. In a notable change, Tunisia has dropped out of the top 10 entirely for 2026.

The Bourgas area, home to popular Black Sea resorts including Sunny Beach and Burgas, has long attracted Britons looking for affordable beach holidays. However, this is the first time it has topped the annual rankings, overtaking Mediterranean favourites including Spain, Greece and Turkey.

Spain’s Menorca claimed second place at £588 per person, while Turkey’s Bodrum area followed closely behind in third at £591.

Turkey continued to perform strongly overall, with the Antalya area and Dalaman area both featuring in the top 10. Greece also remained popular with British holidaymakers, as Rhodes secured fifth place.

The report also found prices dropped in popular destinations compared with summer 2025. Holidays to Rhodes are down by £86 per person year-on-year, while breaks in the Dalaman area are £76 cheaper. Meanwhile, Mallorca recorded the biggest saving, dropping by £91 per person compared with last summer.

Head of holidays and deals at TravelSupermarket, Chris Webber, said: “Bulgaria taking the crown this year is a real moment. The Bourgas area - home to Sunny Beach and Burgas - has long been one of the most affordable spots on the Black Sea, but seeing it leapfrog Tunisia to top the all-inclusive rankings shows just how much value it's offering British holidaymakers right now.

“It’s also striking that Tunisia, which held the top two spots last summer, doesn’t make the top 10 this year - a reminder that the cheapest destinations can shift year on year.

"The good news for anyone heading back to old favourites is that Rhodes, Majorca and Dalaman are all still in the top ten, and are noticeably cheaper than they were last summer.”
