Your next holiday doesn't need to cost a fortune, even if travelling long-haul

Dreaming of a getaway that won’t break the bank? Whether you’re looking to lounge on a Caribbean beach or explore a European city, there are plenty of incredible destinations without the hefty price tag.

Speaking exclusively to GB News, TUI retail manager Sarah Kemp discussed the best budget options for your next short-, mid- and long-haul holiday.

The travel expert said: “For those travelling on a budget, you can't go wrong with Budapest for a short break, Morocco for a mid-haul, or the Dominican Republic for a long-haul getaway."

First up is the capital of Hungary, Budapest. Here, holidaymakers can experience all there is on offer without parting with too much cash.

Kemp explained: "Budapest offers incredible value and lots to do and see with its stunning architecture, thermal baths, and vibrant ruin bars."

Flights can be cheap, too. At the time of writing, return flights can be found from £30 if travelling this month.

Next up is Morocco. It may be further afield, but there are still plenty of incredible deals to be had on hotels and flights to the most popular destinations.

The travel pro added: "For mid-haul, Morocco delivers an exotic experience without the hefty price tag, with destinations like Agadir and Marrakech offering year-round sunshine and affordable all-inclusive resorts."

Agadir, located on the Atlantic coast, is particularly popular among Britons looking for a relaxing beach holiday with almost guaranteed sun.

Marrakech offers a trip packed with culture, with many holidaymakers visiting the medina - a walled medieval city with thriving markets, or souks.

Finally, those looking to travel long-haul might be surprised to learn that a Caribbean destination which gets lots of sun is one of the cheaper options.

The Dominican Republic was highlighted as a value destination thanks to an array of all-inclusive resorts with competitive pricing. Holidaymakers can get particularly good deals by booking far in advance, looking for last-minute deals or choosing to visit during the off-season.

Kemp told GB News: "If you're thinking of long-haul without breaking the bank, the Dominican Republic is hard to beat.

"Think Caribbean beaches, all-inclusive luxury, and fantastic value for money, especially outside peak season. The key with budget travel is being flexible with your dates and destination."

If sunny weather is your main priority, the expert recommended Meloneras, in Gran Canaria, for "year-round" sun and temperatures as high as 21°C in winter.

Or Marsa Alam in Egypt is another great recommendation, described as a "real hidden gem", although it will take slightly longer to get to.
