The cruise line promises to give guests a truly luxurious experience

Celebrity Cruises is shaking up river cruises with two impressive ships set to sail Europe's waterways in 2027. The Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker will bring the luxury line's signature style to the Rhine and Danube rivers.

Starting today, eager travellers can secure their spot with a fully refundable deposit through Priority Booking Access.

President of Celebrity Cruises, Laura Hodges Bethge, said: "Celebrity River Cruises ships will be the most innovative on the river, with a patent-pending industry-leading design that offers more space to vacation while bringing guests even closer to destinations.

“With about half of our guests having experienced or intending to take a river cruise, we know guests are going to love sailing Europe’s Rhine and Danube rivers The Celebrity Way on our fleet of elevated, cutting-edge ships.”

The new vessels promise to transform river cruising with features borrowed from Celebrity's popular Edge Series ocean ships, adapted for Europe's historic waterways.

CELEBRITY CRUISES

Revolutionary open decks transform river cruising

These ships are bringing something completely new to river cruising with their revolutionary open decks. Guests can actually dine while floating above the water on the Magic Edge - the first cantilevered dining pods ever seen on a river ship.

The outdoor spaces stay accessible throughout the entire journey, giving travellers uninterrupted 360-degree views of Europe's stunning landscapes. Discover transformative shade structures and different zones for socialising or simply unwinding.

There's even an infinity-edge plunge pool where guests can cool off while soaking in the scenery. A top-deck bar and grille means more time enjoying the fresh air. Celebrity has created the most usable outdoor space of any river ship, perfect for year-round comfort.

Spacious staterooms offer luxury living

Every stateroom comes with a king-sized bed - a first for river cruising. Celebrity's famous Infinite Veranda concept lets guests connect with the passing scenery at the touch of a button.

The ships feature five boutique stateroom categories, from the first-ever Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites with ceiling windows to cosy River View rooms. Each space is flooded with natural light and designed for living, not just sleeping.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary stocked mini bar and destination-inspired amenities. Suite guests get even more perks - a dedicated butler available through 'Butler Chat', exclusive dining, room service, happy hour experiences, and complimentary laundry.

It's clear Celebrity has thought of everything, from luxury linens and bathrobes to clever storage solutions that make guests feel right at home on the water.

Eight dining venues bring flavours to the river

Celebrity is bringing more dining choices than any other river cruise line, with eight restaurants and bars. Guests can enjoy Celebrity favourites like the Martini Bar, Sunset Bar and Café Al Bacio.

The menus change throughout each sailing, featuring local delicacies from fresh morning pastries to regionally inspired dinners. It will be the only river cruise offering 24/7 meal options, plus complimentary breakfast room service.

The 33 seven-night sailings explore the Rhine and Danube, taking guests through Europe's cultural heart. From private wine tastings in Austria to thermal baths in Budapest, every experience showcases what's rare and remarkable.

Travellers can cycle the Danube riverbanks, see Budapest lit by night, and discover hidden gems. Multiple ports per day and overnight stays let guests explore at their own pace.
