British Airways is set to launch a third daily service between London Heathrow and Delhi in 2026, pending regulatory approval, as the airline strengthens its presence in India.
The carrier will also bring back its First class cabin on Mumbai routes this month, giving travellers more luxury options when visiting the subcontinent.
These expansion plans were revealed as BA flew 130 British business leaders and government ministers to Mumbai for a major trade mission led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
For holidaymakers, this means more chances to explore India's vibrant cities and cultural treasures with greater flexibility.

The return of First class cabins on Mumbai flights will be particularly welcome for those wanting to start their Indian adventure in style. With three daily Delhi flights planned, travellers will find it easier to book convenient departure times that suit their schedules.
BA's latest business class Club Suite will also arrive on select Indian routes by late 2026, offering enhanced comfort for the long journey.
The airline currently operates 56 weekly direct services to five Indian cities, making trips to destinations like Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad more accessible than ever.
BA's Chairman and Chief Executive, Sean Doyle, said: "The Free Trade Agreement with India will boost economic momentum between our two countries and British Airways really sits at the centre of that activity, acting as an enabler for increased trade."

Prime Minister Keir Starmer praised the carrier's role, adding: "British Airways has been connecting the United Kingdom with India for more than a century, a symbol of the enduring partnership, and deep cultural and economic ties between our two nations."
BA has also introduced a free Meet and Assist service for passengers needing extra support when travelling from India to the UK.
This follows the British Airways announcement that it will become the first airline to fly direct from the UK to an iconic American city.
It will become the only UK airline flying directly to St. Louis when it launches a new service from London Heathrow in April 2026.

It aligns with the 100th anniversary of the legendary Route 66, which passes right through the Missouri city.
The flag carrier will operate flights four times weekly throughout the summer season, with the inaugural flight departing on April 19, 2026. Return tickets will start at £529, and they are on sale now.
Travellers can choose between three World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and Club World (business class) cabin classes on the new route.
