You'll save £5 on these premium add-ons

Virgin Media has unlocked four premium television channels for millions of its subscribers until October 31, and the timing couldn't be better. With half-term fast approaching, families across the UK will be able to watch dozens of children's shows from Sky Kids and Nickelodeon at no cost.

Virgin Media usually charges an extra £5 per month to unlock access to these channels, so it's a nice saving — at a time when families will be searching for age-appropriate series to put on the small screen. Whether you've got a Virgin Media TV 360, Virgin Media TV V6, or Virgin Stream set-top box under your telly, you'll be able to start watching Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Baby TV now.

NICKELODEON | VIRGIN MEDIA O2 PRESS OFFICE

From beloved classics to brand new shows, there's something to keep children of all ages happy throughout the month.

Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, David Bouchier told GB News: "We know half term and school holidays can be a juggle for families, and keeping the kids entertained – without a hefty price tag – isn't always easy.

"That’s why we’re offering a helping hand and giving our Kids TV channels to all customers throughout October at no extra cost. Whether it’s content on Sky Kids, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network or Baby TV, our children’s TV lineup offers something for all ages."

Virgin TV subscribers will be able to tune in to popular shows, including Pip and Posy’s Spooktacular Party (Sky Kids), The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball (Cartoon Network), SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon), and Peppa Pig (Nick Jr.) from today until Friday October 31. If you're away from home, the free access to these premium channels extends to watching on-the-move too via the Virgin TV Go app, using WiFi, 4G or 5G in the UK.

The Virgin TV Go app is available to all Virgin TV customers at no extra cost and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play free of charge. If you have a Virgin Media TV or broadband bundle, you can register up to five devices at once, and the app can be used on two devices simultaneously. Through the app, customers can set up a parental controls PIN to help them stay on top of the shows their little ones are watching.

If you want to take full advantage of the unlimited access to Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Baby TV, and others on-demand and live — start watching today. With the promotion set to end on October 31, families will enjoy the entire half-term period with these premium channels without the additional monthly fee.

The generous giveaway comes hot on the heels of Virgin Media confirming a shake-up to every one of its TV and broadband plans.

The new bundles include several extras for free, including a boost to High Definition (HD) on all Sky TV channels at no extra cost — Virgin Media previously charged £7 for the privilege — and Netflix Standard with Ads subscription included with every TV package as standard, matching the latest Sky TV deals.

But it's not all good news: the overhaul from Virgin Media also brought a price rise for new and existing customers.
