Spotify Wrapped is fast approaching.
This end-of-year feature offers a shareable, interactive look back at your listening habits — showcasing your most-played songs, artists, genres, and more. It’s available to both free and premium accounts, though Spotify Premium subscribers (starting from £12.99 a month) enjoy extra personalisation.
For example, Spotify Premium users will be shown how many new artists they've discovered in the last 12 months, something that isn't included in the stats for those on an ad-supported account.
Spotify is keeping quiet about the exact release date of Spotify Wrapped, but previous launch dates offer a good clue. Since debuting in 2016, Spotify Wrapped has arrived within a fairly consistent window each year, which is around the first week in December, though the drop date has gradually shifted earlier over time...

The Swedish streaming service has consistently released Spotify Wrapped on a weekday, typically in the morning hours between 9:00 – 11:00am GMT. As such, we'd expect to see the annual launch sometime between November 24 – 28, or December 1 – 5, 2025.

Spotify recently added a new way to check your listening stats on a weekly basis.
You can now check directly through the streaming app –
- Open the Spotify app on Android or iPhone
- Tap your Profile Picture in the top-left corner of the home screen
- Select "Listening Stats" from the menu
- Spotify will show a breakdown of your top artists and songs for the last week
- There's an option to view data for previous weeks, too
- You can also share these stats directly with friends on Spotify or other platforms

When it's officially released, you can look for the banner on the app's homepage or go directly to spotify.com/wrapped in a web browser to view your personalised recap. This presents insights from the last year of streaming on Spotify in dynamic, interactive graphics that can be exported to share on social media. You can save your most-streamed in a playlist to revisit whenever suits.
Based on last year's Spotify Wrapped, there could be many exciting surprises to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Artists such as Billie Eilish, Usher, and Sabrina Carpenter were among many who recorded video messages to thank fans who had them as their top acts on Wrapped 2024.
Premium users were given their own personalised playlists based on what was listed as their top music.
Spotify also shared its annual list of most-streamed artists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks in the UK and globally. Taylor Swift was listed at the top spot for both the UK and global Top Artists run-down.
