There are just seven days left until Sky One makes a triumphant return to the airwaves.

The iconic channel, which first launched 32 years ago before being retired in September 2021, will reappear for Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q viewers on February 24, 2026. Sky has confirmed that it will only be available to viewers who subscribe to the Ultimate TV bundle, which starts from £22 per month.

This flagship package will be overhauled in the coming weeks, with Sky TV set to add subscriptions to five standalone streaming services, including Disney+ and the upcoming HBO Max, at no extra cost. If you subscribe to the most affordable Sky TV Essentials package (£15) you'll miss out on most of these streamers – and Sky One.

For those who don't remember, Sky One launched with a lot of fanfare in 1989. Over the years, this popular channel has been host to all-new episodes of The Simpsons and the feverishly-anticipated Friends reunion episode. However, the British broadcaster decided to retire its namesake back in 2021, when it was replaced with Sky Showcase.

"The all-new Sky One brings together showstopping new TV alongside much-loved favourites all in one place," Sky has teased in its announcement. New shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, as well as returning favourites like Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted will all air on Sky One.

You'll also be able to stream Sky Originals on-demand and access everything on Netflix, thanks to the included Standard with Adverts plan worth £5.99 on its own

And there's not long to wait. Sky TV viewers will see Sky One make a reappearance in their TV Guide from February 24, 2026. Sky One will also host Saturday Night Live UK, launching later this year.

The relaunched channel replaces Sky Showcase and Sky Max, bringing together a rich slate of entertainment in one place, making it easier than ever for viewers to find must-watch telly.

Discussing the decision to return Sky One to the TV Guide after it was ditched in 2021, Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV and NOW (formerly NOW TV) said: "Our goal is to make it easier than ever for Sky TV customers to find and enjoy the shows they love.

The SNL UK cast are: Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young. The sketch show will be exclusive to Sky One in the UK
