A 22-year-old victim of an antisemitic attack in Golders Green has spoken to GB News about his harrowing ordeal.
The young man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, suffered injuries to his face, neck and back after he was assaulted by a group of hooded men in the north London suburb.
Scotland Yard confirmed the assault is being treated as an antisemitic hate crime.
Speaking to national reporter Will Godley, the 22-year-old said: “It feels like the dark times of 1940.”
When asked why he thought he had been targeted, the man said: “Clearly because of my religion. That's it.”
“Do you think they heard you speaking in Hebrew?” Will asked.
“Yeah, like I say, some write in Hebrew on the phone. I don't talk with them, I just walk, and they attack me. That's it. They listen to me. I think they know that it's a Jewish area.”
Asked if he felt safe in London, the 22-year-old said simply “no”.
