Struggling to find something to watch when scrolling through the TV Guide on your Sky Glass or Sky Stream box?
Good news — Sky has just released 6 brand-new channels, bringing hours of additional sport, documentaries, reality telly, and art to your screen at no extra cost.
The new additions are all FAST channels (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television), which means they're ad-supported and delivered via a broadband connection and not a satellite dish.
These channels are becoming increasingly popular. In the last two years alone, the number of FAST channels worldwide has jumped from about 800 to over 1,600, with UK viewers now choosing to watch more than 500 channels. In the UK, roughly 1 in 5 people tune in each month, and experts predict FAST audiences will exceed 20 million by 2027.

Sky Stream has never been this affordable. The broadcaster has just launched an affordable new bundle of channels and on-demand services, dubbed TV Essentials. It includes its plug-and-play Sky Stream box, over 100 live channels including Sky Atlantic — the exclusive home of shows like Game of Thrones, And Just Like That, and The White Lotus. You'll also find a subscription to Netflix and Discovery+ included too and can upgrade to Sky Cinema and Sky Sports at an extra cost.
Sky Glass and Sky Stream viewers can now join the fun, with the arrival of three FAST channels dedicated to sports, alongside Emergency 24/7, Pick Monkey Rescue, and Sky Artist of the Year. All six channels will broadcast shows that've previously aired on other channels, but proven especially popular with viewers.
The new additions will be available in the TV Guide, or you can easily find these live channels with the voice search feature built into both Sky Stream and Sky Glass. If you own the latter, or the newer Sky Glass Gen 2, you can use hands-free voice controls to jump between channels, control playback, and search for specific shows or actors using the wake word "Hello Sky" before your spoken command.
These new channels support all of the functionality you've come to expect from Sky Stream and Sky Glass, including voice commands, pause and rewind, and more

Some of these FAST channels were already available on Sky Glass and Sky Stream via the Xumo Play app, which included access to an additional 70+ free streaming channels, including Dateline, Reuters, and American Classics.
Xumo Play is a leading FAST app owned by Xumo — a joint venture between Sky TV parent company Comcast and Charter — and it arrived on Sky Glass and Sky Stream last summer as part of its first foray outside the US.
With the latest shake-up, six of these ad-supported channels will be included in the TV Guide on your Sky device, making them indistinguishable from the 150+ channels included with your subscription.
Whether you're interested in reliving sporting glory, following wildlife rescue operations, or discovering artistic talent, these new channels provide something for everyone.
