Sky Glass 55-inch was the best-selling model of Smart TV in the UK last year — and for a limited time, it's plummeted in price. Starting from just £11 per month, you'll save over £140 in the latest sale.
For those who don't know, Sky Glass is an all-in-one solution that combines a 4K Ultra HD QLED panel, Dolby Atmos-certified soundbar, and everything you need to watch live and on-demand content from Sky TV, catch-up services like BBC iPlayer and ITVX, and popular streamers, including Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+.
Compared to a separate Sky Q set-top box, soundbar, and television, Sky Glass uses 50% less electricity due to the efficiencies of bundling everything into the same all-in-one device.
Sky Glass is an all-in-one solution that combines a 4K UHD QLED screen, Dolby Atmos soundbar, and everything you need to watch, pause and rewind television
SKY TV PRESS OFFICESky Glass ships in recyclable packaging free from single-use plastics and Sky has pledged to offset the electricity used by every one of its Smart TVs sold — enabling it to achieve the accolade as the "world's Carbon Neutral-certified TV" by Natural Capital Partners.
Sky Glass is available as a standalone purchase or with an interest-free payment plan.
Unlike the best Sky Stream deals, which are available directly from Sky TV as well as high street retailer Currys, you're only able to purchase Sky Glass TVs from Sky TV either online or in-store. Every Glass TV ships with a two-year hardware warranty and a 31-day return period.
Sky Glass can be bundled with Sky Entermaint & Netflix package, which includes access to over 150 live channels, 500 on-demand boxsets from HBO, Peacock, and Sky Originals, as well as a Netflix subscription. You can choose between an 18-month minimum contract term or 31-day rolling contract, which lets you pick-and-mix between additional extras like Sky Cinema and Sky Sports every month, like NOW (formerly NOW TV).
Everything can be streamed to Sky Glass over a Wi-Fi or ethernet connection, with no need for a satellite dish.
Sky Glass offers a way to watch exclusive live and on-demand TV shows, documentaries, and films from Sky TV for those living in a rented property or in a block of flats without a communal dish. If you decide to ditch your subscription to Sky Entertainment at any point, you'll still be able to plug in an aerial and watch Freeview.
You'll need a minimum of 25 Mbps to stream live and on-demand content to Sky Glass, so you might want to run a speed test on your currently broadband connection before signing up.
Unlike Sky Q, there's no spinning hard drive inside Sky Glass.
Instead, the traditional recordings pioneered by Sky+ have been replaced with Playlist, which brings together shows from across a dizzying number of streaming and catch-up services. Since everything is beamed over the internet, you'll never have a recording fail because of bad reception, a clash with another show, or running out of storage space.
Playlist lets you follow actors, directors, and in a future software update, sports teams. As new films and TV shows are broadcast starring these individuals, they'll be added automatically to your Playlist.
Pressing the + button on the redesigned Sky Glass remote will add a show, film, or documentary to the Playlist. This lets you catch-up with previously-aired episodes from across a dizzying number of services, bringing together on-demand content from Netflix, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, UKTV Play, Apple TV+, as well as Sky TV's own catalogue
