Jake Parry is set to make his return to Coronation Street more than two decades after his debut on the ITV soap, though viewers will see him in an entirely different guise this time around.
The 23-year-old actor first graced the Weatherfield cobbles as a newborn in 2003, sharing the role of Simon Barlow with his twin brother Oscar from July to November that year.

Announcing his comeback on TikTok, Mr Parry wrote: "For anyone wondering, I played Simon Barlow with my brother when I was a baby. I have now come back as a different character, Damo, which is out next week."
The character of Damo will make his appearance in scenes broadcast on May 26, emerging from a vehicle as part of an unfolding storyline involving Leanne Battersby (played by Jane Danson) and newcomer Idris Nazir (Junade Khan)
According to upcoming plot details, Damo becomes embroiled in an altercation outside Speed Daal restaurant when a group of businessmen causes a disturbance, spilling curry over Brody Michaelis's footwear during his temporary shift.
Idris intervenes to resolve the situation, demanding payment from the troublemakers to compensate Brody before ejecting them from the premises.

The episode later reveals a deeper connection when Idris encounters Damo away from prying eyes, pulling him into a nearby ginnel for a discreet conversation.
Since departing Coronation Street as an infant, Mr Parry has built a varied acting portfolio spanning television and advertising work.
His screen credits include appearances in BBC Three's horror drama Red Rose, alongside roles in Doctors, Mount Pleasant, Get Even 2, Dodger, and The Other One.
The twins have also featured prominently in commercial campaigns, working with major brands including Dominos, Taco Bell, Fifa and Microsoft.

In 2023, Jake and Oscar appeared together in a Dominos advertisement, later noting on social media that they had collaborated with crew members who had worked on productions including Barbie, Harry Potter, Star Wars and Spider-Man.
The arrival of Idris Nazir has sparked speculation among viewers about his true intentions on the cobbles.
Mr Khan described Idris as "multi-layered and incredibly ambitious," shaped by childhood hardship and neglect that forced him to forge his own path.
"He's a lone wolf - the black sheep of the family who has made a name for himself," Mr Khan explained. "He's addicted to success and the finer things in life, but there's a real vulnerability there, too."
Mr Khan added that Idris is drawn to Leanne because "she's genuinely a real person," with the pair recognising each other from a family wedding where they shared a table.
