  • Upgrade to Galaxy S23 or S23+ and Samsung will transfer £100 to you
  • You'll also get a pair of Buds FE (£99) and 12 months of Disney+ (£79.90)
  • This Black Friday giveaway is available from Samsung and other retailers

Tempted to switch to the Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23+?

With its latest Black Friday offer, Samsung is doing everything in its power to convince you to make the move.

For a limited time, Samsung will pay £100 cashback when you add its flagship Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23+ to your shopping basket. Not only that, but it'll also bundle a pair of its Galaxy Buds FE wireless earbuds (worth £99) and a 12-month subscription to Disney+ (worth £79.90) with every order.

It's a giveaway worth £278.90.

If you missed the launch event earlier this year, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are the latest entries in the flagship Galaxy S series, which competes head-to-head with the iPhone and Google Pixel. This range from Samsung is not to be confused with the Galaxy Z range, which is characterised by foldable screens.

Galaxy S smartphones arrive with a traditional flat screen, the best camera system that Samsung can muster, a choice of colourways, fast wired- and wireless charging, and support for speedy downloads over 5G and Wi-Fi 6.

The main difference between the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+ is the size of the screen, with the former boasting a 6.1-inch display, while the latter stretches palms with its 6.6-inch panel. Both handsets use the same AMOLED screen complete with a 120Hz high-refresh rate for buttery-smooth animations and gameplay.

The edge-to-edge screens on both phones are only interrupted by a small cut-out for the front-facing 12-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, the Galaxy S23 series packs a triple-camera system that offers all of the photography tricks you'd expect at this price point, including super slow-motion video, 3x lossless optical zoom, an ultra-wide angle lens, portrait mode-style photos and videos.

Samsung earned an IP68 certification for Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, which means they'll withstand 30 minutes in an unplanned bath of up to 1.5 metres — perfect if you suffer from chronic butter-fingers and regularly spill drinks over your smartphone or drop it into the toilet.

You can make contactless payments by tapping your phone, with everything secured thanks to an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that's hidden underneath the glass touchscreen. Samsung offers Lavender, Cream, Phantom Black and Green options for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ nationwide, with two exclusive colours — Lime and Graphite — reserved for its online store.

Galaxy S23 starts from £849 with 128GB of non-expandable storage, while the Galaxy S23+ starts from £1,049 ...although that does come with a more generous 256GB of storage. If you want the maximum amount of storage in your pocket, you'll need to plump for the larger Galaxy S23+ as that tops out at 512GB compared to the smaller 256GB maximum available with the Galaxy S23.

When you've picked your handset and made the purchase, you'll need to redeem the £100 cashback and free Galaxy Buds FE offer from this page on the Samsung website.

The South Korean technology giant only needs proof that you've bought the correct model from a genuine retailer, so you won't need to buy the Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23+ direct from Samsung if you'd rather shop elsewhere. Amazon, John Lewis, AO.com, and Very all offer the same models and you'll still be able to redeem the goodies from Samsung.
