First UK shoppers to test out the new service enjoy a £100 discount

  • Samsung has launched its Galaxy Club scheme in the UK
  • It lets you spread the cost and upgrade to a new device every 12 months
  • Samsung will include its Care+ insurance scheme at no extra cost
  • Galaxy Club launched in the USA in January, but took longer to land in the UK

Samsung has launched an entirely new way to buy its bestselling Galaxy smartphones in the UK.

If you're thinking of upgrading to one of its latest Android devices — like the Galaxy S25, S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra launched in January, or the slimline Galaxy S25 Edge released last week — but don't fancy splurging in one lump sum, this new scheme could be exactly what you're looking for.

Dubbed Galaxy Club, this exclusive upgrade and rewards scheme has been created with loyal Samsung customers in mind. Buying a new handset via Galaxy Club unlocks flexible finance options, annual upgrades to the next Galaxy device, extra protection, and exclusive rewards.

While it launched in the United States with the Galaxy S25 lineup at the start of the year, it's taken a little longer for Samsung to import its flexible new scheme to British shores. One of the standout features of Galaxy Club is an introductory offer for early adopters.

If you're quick, you could be among the first 2,500 members to receive an exclusive £100 Klarna voucher, which is automatically added to your basket when purchasing through the programme. That's a sizeable discount on the overall cost of your new Galaxy S phone.

(Samsung is still advertising this promotion on the checkout of its Galaxy S25 Edge... so we can only assume the full allocation hasn't vanished yet!)

Galaxy Club will let you spread the cost of your new Samsung device over the next 24-months with 0% interest and just a 10% upfront deposit. If you're used to buying your phones on a pay monthly deal from mobile networks like EE, O2, or Vodafone, Galaxy Club is going to be pretty familiar. You'll pay off the cost of your handset over two years... but you can keep your existing SIM-only deal, or switch to a cheap rolling one-month plan.

But this isn't just an interest-free payment plan — those were already available when buying from the Samsung Store.

Samsung has also thrown-in exclusive perks, like an allowance to put towards accessories for your new Galaxy phone, discount codes for friends and family to spend at the Samsung Store, and insurance. When you decide to upgrade between 12-15 months into your credit agreement, you'll receive a guarantee of 50% return of the overall value of your device, making it significantly more affordable to stay current with the latest Galaxy technology.

Your new device will be protected too, as members can select two years of Samsung Care+ Accidental Damage Cover, worth £179.

New sign-ups to the Galaxy Club who spend over £150 — a threshold you'll easily top with any of the Galaxy S25 lineup, even with the latest Samsung deals — you'll be rewarded with a £50 voucher to spend at the online store. That'll come in handy if you want to upgrade to new wireless earbuds, a protective case, or more.

After you sign up, Samsung will credit your Galaxy Club account with three £50 vouchers to pass on to friends or family redeemable at Samsung.com. Galaxy S25 Edge is available to preorder now (May 17) and will land on store shelves on May 30.

Discusing the new scheme, Samsung UK Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing, Annika Bizon said: "At Samsung, we’re constantly looking for ways to bring tangible benefits to our customers.

"Our New Galaxy Club is designed to give Samsung users more value and flexibility as they look to upgrade to their latest Galaxy device. From money back and cash rewards to 0% financing options, this is a smarter way for our customers to experience everything that Galaxy has to offer."

All four handsets in the Galaxy S25 linup are powered by the same, first-of-its-kind customised Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform designed by teams from Samsung and US manufacturer Qualcomm to power the phones' extensive AI features.

It's also the speediest chip to ever ship inside a Samsung smartphone, delivering 40% faster performance from the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which predominantly handles on-device AI tasks, as well as a 37% increase in CPU and a 30% improvement in GPU compared to the Galaxy S24 series. In other words, there will be no difference in the speed of the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge and the larger handsets in the lineup.

This beefier chipset allows Samsung to crunch more AI tasks on-device.

Some Galaxy AI features that previously had to be beamed to servers, like Generative Edit, now take place on the silicon inside the phone. Since you're not reliant on a decent Wi-Fi or mobile data connection, you'll be able to use these AI tricks on aeroplane mode.

AI also powers several new editing tools, like Audio Eraser, which lets you remove specific annoying background sounds from your videos, like unwanted chatter from crowds or disruptive wind noise.

Elsewhere, Circle to Search has been upgraded to immediately recognise and action phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs with a single tap. Galaxy S25, S25+ and Galaxy S25 Edge owners can circle anything on-screen with their fingertips to kickstart a search with Google — or take action on the information on-screen, while those with a Galaxy S25 Ultra can also use the S Pen stylus, which is housed within the case.

Galaxy AI features introduced with the Galaxy S24 series last year make a return with the next-generation handset, including real-time transcription or translation for incoming calls and video chats. Galaxy AI can also quickly summarise lengthy PDFs, webpages, and emails into a quick recap or bullet points.

Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 have rounded corners, which Samsung says makes these new handsets easier to grip. Samsung has shaved 15% off the borders around the displays to shrink the footprint of these new smartphones. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Edge has the thinnest design of any new Samsung phone — at just 5.8mm

Writing Assist works across the One UI 7.0 operating system, which is based on Android 15 and incorporates many of the advances introduced by Google in that update. Highlight text and Galaxy AI will offer to proofread for spelling and grammar mistakes. It can also adjust the tone of your writing — helpful if you need to make an email or cover letter sound more formal, or want to add some fun into your text.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Galaxy S25 owners can also use natural language across the One UI system, letting you chain multiple commands together, such as "show me the next Arsenal match, and add it to my calendar" or "find the photograph of mum at the Grand Canyon last year, then send it to dad on WhatsApp".

These AI advancements aren't just designed to boost productivity either — they’re also used to bolster privacy. On-device AI processing ensures data is kept secure by Samsung Knox Vault. This clever features isolates cryptographic keys and other sensitive data — like your fingerprint data — in a dedicated hardware enclave, separate from the main Android operating system that uses layered security, including tamper detection and real-time integrity checks to protect against software and physical attacks. So malware won't ever be able to access the data squirrelled away in the Knox Vault.
